You saw a little bit of that at Georgia Southern this week, with some non-violent backlash when they burned the Latina author’s book after she was browbeating white kids for their privilege in a campus talk. Lots of kids in Georgia attend college on the lottery-funded Hope Scholarship, many from families of quite meager means, so to many, I’m sure their supposed privilege was news.
There was lots of pearl-clutching over this book burning, and of course the optics of burning a book aren’t great. But I saw it as a sign at least some of the post-Millenials have about had enough of being made out as villains for their skin color. And it’s amazing how so many who say nothing about violent acts made to stop conservative speakers on college campuses, and defend flag burning as a free speech act, are suddenly all concerned about the burning in protest of a book berating people for their race.
Be careful your white sons will become white supremacists! If being patriotic is being a white supremacist. Not to worry the parents are to busy molding snowflakes, metrosexuals and transgenders
If I’m reading this right, the author is triggered by their sons’ use of the WORD “triggered”? That word is used by lefties all the time to describe when their undergarments get in a sudden twist over nothing. This is literally insane if true.
