I meet my friends once a month at Turning Stone Casino in Verona, NY. It’s only about 20 minutes from my house, and it’s the only time I ever go there. We enjoy a nice leisurely meal at the buffet, then play the penny slots. I only take $100 with me when I go, and when it’s gone, it’s gone. I rarely win, or bring any of my money home with me, but this past Thursday, I hit a good bonus spin that gave me multiple 5-of-a-kinds within the one spin. I ended up with $180 after all my free spins ended. I had only used part of one $20 bill I had put into the machine. I played the rest of the afternoon, and ended up being able to bring home my original $100, plus an additional $100. It doesn’t happen very often, but it came at a good time because I’m heading out to visit my youngest son in Indiana in about a week, and that extra money will come in handy.
We had a deal hear at one of the Seminole casinos for $6.99 all you can eat prime rib dinner. It was really good but then they raised it to $9.99 and ultimately they got rid of it altogether. But the good news is that I can eat super cheap at Rubio’s near the Coconut Creek Casino for half price due to my heavily discounted gift cards.
