Other recommendations? Yes. An. M1A our a Remington 700 . Put a scope on the Rem. I don't think there are scope mounts for the M1A, but it's very accurate with iron sights. Either gun is good to well beyond 200 or 300 yards.

A scope mount is what the tapped hole in the left side of the receiver is for... It used to be where a sight for a grenade launcher was to be mounted.
