Went to Normandy this summer with some friends. Spent one day in Paris. Said to my friend, Now I see what the Dems are doing with all their nutty ideastrying to impress the French!
I flew in-out of Paris on my way to Italy.
Just that brief exposure to France and its socialist mentality cured me of ever wanting to go to France ever again.
My liberal niece visits her married friend in Paris, she realizes that the exceptional, amazing, forward thinking, generous French that pay for all your needs was disappointing. Being a large lady and visiting in a heat wave, air-conditioning even in a posh upper class hotel for dinner left her sweating, museums, cafes, even in apartments where she stayed AC is scares, walking everywhere was also a chore, limited escalators and elevators. The fantasy is alluring and quickly loses its luster
We just got back from Normandy/Verdun. :-)
Are they sure it wasn’t 91,425 ?
From what I see posted on social media/Independent Journalists France has become a brutal police state. The lack of coverage for the Yellow Vests/Gilets Jaunes protest movement continues to boggle my mind.
The narrative is controlled by the governments, and complicit media in their employ. Even people I know in Europe say there is little coverage of the protests in France.
