Except that Iran supposedly had NOTHING to do with it. Just some random rebels with drones and rockets right?

I think Trump is going to hit Iran, that’s why he has been so quiet about this. It’s an overt act of war. If we had evidence the Chinese destroyed refinery would infrastructure in Houston, how would we respond?

Act of War against Saudi Arabia, sure.

But why do I care?

Is it worth starting WW3 over some damaged pipes, some smoke and a temporary 10 buck rise in oil prices? No, it’s not.

Wait a few months. Blow something up in Iran with no fingerprints. Say it was the Israelis. Hell, it probably will be the Israels.

I’ll say it again. Saudi Arabia ought to respond militarily. If we haven’t already sold them enough weapons to respond proportionately (or maybe twice as hard would be better) we should sell them more.

What I don’t know if they yet have the weapons they paid for. That might make a big difference on how to respond.

My impression is the UN Security Council will be convened before any action is taken. It could mean pressuring other nations (like France) to impose more sanctions.

Looks like SA will need to give Iran a spanking.

I’m seeing this whole thing a bit like Europe in 1940. It’s simply not our fight. Yet.

Heck, we didn’t even declare War on Germany when they sunk the Reuben James.

LOL. I didn’t say they will do anything, just suggesting that they might want to go through the motions before any response is taken. We’ll see.

“I think Trump is going to hit Iran, that’s why he has been so quiet about this.”

I’m for Iran being punished/defeated by small military actions, perhaps covert, and increasing economic sanctions.

I think the Iran population’s opposition to their government will eventually change it.

That is what I have been thinking. Make the economy so bad with severe sanctions, that the Iranian citizens overthrow the Mullahs.

The fact that the drones were made in Iran proves nothing....however....if below can be proved, then what ? and how did the circuit board(s) survive ?

Now, CBS reports that the circuit boards of the missiles can be reverse engineered, which would reveal their route to their target. What’s more, however, according to the U.S. government sources, there were satellite images showing the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps preparing for the launch of the missiles at the Ahvaz Air Base.

I agree, maybe more. There was a real danger in appearing weak or unwilling to act in this situation, for both SA and USA.
