After weighing options in Pittsburgh, Detroit and several cities in Florida, Egnyte, a cloud storage company from Silicon Valley, opened a Raleigh office on Thursday with plans to eventually hire 120 people.
The office, on the 18th floor of the PNC Plaza building, will serve as the lead sales office for the companys East Coast operations, a geographic area that includes everything east of the Rocky Mountains.
However, despite the sales focus, the office is hiring across all positions, including engineering, product and customer success teams.
I dont think there will be any position that we will shy away from hiring in Raleigh, said Vineet Jain, the co-founder and CEO of Egnyte.
Egnyte, a competitor to companies like Dropbox, helps businesses share and store files and data using both cloud storage and companies own data centers. It also offers software that helps companies manage and protect their files and data by controlling access and the use of encryption technology.

It is interesting that 2ndDivisionVet has posted nine times over a 9-10 hour period that ended in the early morning. It seems that the effort is undertaken to agitate rather than educate, and that the postings are done by more than one individual.
What’s agitating about this post?
I was going to forward the job listing to a relative.
Vet is a good guy.
He is definitely the Free Republic guru on corporate employment.
As I recall, he worked full time for several decades in the employment field, as a recruiter, HR exec, etc.
Thank you for all your posts which alert us and which chronicle the many new jobs created since President Trump took office!
Very encouraging for our economy!!!
Also gives alerts to those who may be seeking employment as to where to go to find good jobs.
So thank you!!!!
Oh, no. The company bigshots most likely will be flaming libs and donating hefty amounts to liberal candidates and causes. They’re doing everything they can to turn the south blue.
Infiltration works.
If RTP could somehow evaporate all the humidity I think half of Silly Valley would relocate there. Im aquatinted with a married couple out there, wife is with Google, household income over $300K and theyre drowning, cant afford a house, rents $6K a month. Theyd bail for a decent lifestyle in a heartbeat if they could stand the climate. More and more are anyway. Theyll acclimate after a sweaty first year or two, lol. Now if theyd just lose the nutty CA leftist politics.
Gee. More jobs for Indian and Communist Chinese H1Bs, if these jobs are even remotely related to tech.
Well, there goes the neighborhood.
Continuing the invasion of another state.
Vet is a great guy.
