Any majority population must be careful not to revert to pre-civilized tribalism and oppressing minority groups. The United States, like every other country that enjoys diverse populations has struggled from its beginning to ensure equality, sometimes unsuccessfully, and only at the cost of thousands of lives.
While the United States was founded originally mostly by those of European ancestry and was plagued by the endemic racism of the age, especially in regard to African slaves and Native Americans, nonetheless its unique Constitution, embedded within a larger framework of the Western Enlightenment, institutionalized self-reflection and the chance for amendment. Americas founding documents were unique in their singular calls for innate and universal human freedom and equality under the law that would eventually and logically demand reification of such ideals.
In other words, in America there was a real chance to overcome not American sins per se, but the ancient sins of mankind in general.
The result is that more than 243 years after its independence, the current longest-lived democracy arguably is also the worlds most racially, ethnically, and religiously diverse nation and unmatched in its efforts to promote equality.
More exceptionally, the United States did not resort to a coercive political ideology such as Stalinist Communism to unite the diverse, or embrace an all-encompassing religious orthodoxy in the manner of the dramatic spread of Islam between the 8th and 16th centuries among widely disparate peoples.
Global Comparisons
No American can emigrate to China or Japan and expect to find full equality, given the emphases in those places on race and appearance. Mexicos constitution has in the past formalized questions of racial essence as a requisite for immigration, given immigrants would be judged according to their possibilities of contributing to national progress and without upsetting the equilibrium of the national demographics...

If white nationalism is such a growing threat, then why in all my years haven’t I met one?
Rumors abound of white militia enclaves in the Idaho panhandle.
Sanpoint, ID
The use of the term ‘white surpremacy’ is information warfare against white people. Anyone, including a white person, who uses the term against you or against anyone is your eternal enemy and should be treated as such.
JoMa
There might be a missing “d” in there...
If you are white and you support President Trump, you might be a “White Supremicist”.

I’m very familiar with the Idaho panhandle. I’ve met lots of conservative Christians there but few white nationalists.
It is three FBI agents, four DEA agents, two reporters and one guy who is there for the free coffee.
My buddy from the USAF was from there.
He said there were some groups, but more anti government type people.
I’ve never been, only repeating what he said to me.
White supremacy? - how ‘bout “poor kids are just as smart as white kids”......
The commie libs have worn the numbers off the good, old “racism” card, and it no longer works. So they had to come with a a new card: the “white supremacist” card. It’s new, it’s improved and has a much higher “credit limit”.
These people are fricken morons to the core. And we’re to co-exist with them???
Please don’t fall for the progressive dishonesty of using the phrase “white nationalist” as if it means “white supremacist”. I am white, and I’m certainly a nationalist, but in no way am I a white supremacist, and I would resent being called one.

Is that one of them chicken pizzas without the red sauce?
I’ll have one with black olives and bacon, please!!!
I really meant white supremacist. There’s nothing wrong with being a nationalist.
The Leftists believe this:
Minority tribalism = pride
Whites who arent self haters = white supremacists
Ugh, America most certainly did not struggle to ensure equality from its founding, VDH should know that. Equality among its founding posterity, perhaps.
