Burning a small brown paper bag will remove the smell of a dead thing. Not sure it will work on insecticides, but I’d sure try it.
Make up a bucket with one part household bleach in 9 parts water. Spray or mop it on the spill. It will destroy the pesticide molecules. Clean it up, rinse, you should be good to go. Ventilate the area thoroughly while doing the clean up and for a while afterward.
try febreeze- just keep sprayin it- then throw loadso f baking soda on it- vacuum up and make sure ot empty as smell wil be in vaccumm
I have used this with success. Discovered it because I bought a trailer in which a guy died in August with the power off for two weeks. They spritzed this around and didn’t even pull out the rug. Very effective.

Baking soda will help. Those insecticides are oil based so there is that element to consider.
Bleach or peroxide.
I'm facing a similar situation in a storage unit I rented, and it's worrying the crap out of me.
He gives few details but you missed the one he did give.
I know it is a bit extreme but you could burn the house down. Just sayin.
Vinegar Straight. Mix baking soda with it as well.
If the problem is fleas in the grass or any other insect with segmented exoskeletons, dust the area lightly with diatomaceous earth. It is not instant but it is very long lasting and is not poisonous and has no smell and it’s cheap. It can be used indoors and out. I just used it to eliminate an extensive ant bed. I used it previously to eliminate the annual siege of fleas in the yard. There has been no recurrence for 14 years and the roaches are much reduced. Can’t eliminate them because they fly in from elsewhere.
Muriatic acid.
On the bedroom carpet-already pulled it up with the underlay and scrubbed with borax
Good. I do find that the manufacturer has always got people ready to answer questions.
How much time do you have left before wife comes home?
Dog poop, you won't even notice the insecticide any more........
Check the manufacturer’s website for cleaning/disposal instructions.
I was going to say that but Grandson was running a muck.
CALL THE NUMBER ON THE PACKAGE !!!
What insecticide?? What form is it in (powder or liquid)?
