The Wisconsin State Fair (here and gone, already!) has The. Best. Cream. Puffs. Ever. EVER!
Our Iowa County Fair (in WI, not in IA) is the last one held in the state. I love the 4-H kids and their animals. Our nearest neighbors breed Paints, and their twin boys (who just turned 11) are AMAZING horsemen; they do the barrel competitions and put their horses through their paces with ease.
Another nearby neighbor kid is on the Junior Rodeo Circuit - also amazing to watch.
It’s a pretty small and rinky-dink fair, but still a lot of fun. Lots of arts-n-crafts, good food, Harness Racing and Pasties. :)
Not ALL of America sucks - just around the far edges, LOL!
