I usually don't subscribe to hyperbolic CWII horsecrap, but the day of PDJT's re-election might be one to be on guard.

American citizens are too fat, happy, working and entertained to be bothered with such nastiness.

That is true, on both sides, for the most part. But what that fact really implies is that Americans are too fat, happy and stupid to stand up to whatever motivated force works to oppress them. The fat happy ones on the Left are fine for now, because the oppressors are on "their side" - the leftwing media, Hollywood, antifa, and, with respect to a common goal (destruction of the old USA), muslims and latin Americans, especially Mexicans.

But the fat, happy ones on the Right will be the first to be put down - conform or die. Then, once they are disposed of, the fat happy ones on the Left (which will be all of us who remain) will be put down in accordance with whatever whim the new overlords have. You're too white? Death. You're Christian? Death. ETC.

The point is that the majority of the American population being fat and happy will not prevent civil unrest, nor war, nor upheaval, nor mass death. It is not simply two sides of the same coin at work here. In fact, the fatness and happiness may very well be the factor that most guarantees that the nastiness will come.
