Mueller testimony, an exercise in Democrat theatrics

After reading hundreds of replies, and comments on the “Performance” of Robert Mueller, in yesterday’s Democrat run, extravaganza, to force feed the American public the best democrat talking points in the Mueller report, with a side dish of Republican questions, it ended coming off as an Aging Mueller being beat up by the Republicans, causing confusion by him, and projecting the Republicans as mean, while at the same time displaying to the viewing audience, the democrats as patient, prompting replies, and genial.

Nothing could be further from the truth. What was obvious to me at least, was the preparation that went into this dog and pony show by the Democrats. Each of the congressmen/women had a specific task, along with presentations on the overhead projector, with an opening statement, verification of chapter and verse that Mueller could easily read on the screen in front of him, or the overhead projector, which was yellow highlighted for him to easily find. They did not ask a question that they did not have an answer to in the text. Finally each one of them had a summation that invoked wrath, disdain, or condemnation to the sitting President of the United States, and was timed to neatly end within their 5 minute time schedule. Mueller never had to question the source of the questions as they came exactly from his published text, his answers were yes or no. Not once did the Democrats ask a question to which he replied that he either could not answer it, or refer to the Body of the published report. It is my OPINION that Mueller, or those who converse with him knew what the Democrats would ask him, as he was visually at ease when dealing with each of them. The process was to first ask a Democrat, then a Republican to take turns at 5 minutes apiece, and if they finish early, give the remaining time back to the Head of that party. This was strategic. When dealing with issues that needed emphasis, that particular congressman would yield back time, by cutting short their turn, to allow the Head of the Party to drive home their message. This was accomplished most effectively by the Democrat Led portion of the house, it was not until later in the proceedings that the Republicans realized what was going on, and started doing the same thing more effectively. It is a mistake to characterize Mueller as an aging doddering old has been. He was an effective foil, expertly used by the democrats. It is not a stretch for anyone who has worked in an organization to understand that the Big Boss is not the most informed person in that organization, money runs uphill and shit rolls downhill. Everyone knows this. Mueller depended on his deputies to review all but the most high profile investigations, guide them to be legal, true, and if necessary, pursue aggressive convictions under his tutelage. When the Republicans questioned him, it was not surprising, that he was not prepared, he, more than likely did not handle those issues personally, so deferred to the text, and held firm to the truth and veracity of the findings in the report. The democrats were not done, they outnumber the numbers of Republicans in the house, so that once the Republican all had their 5 minutes, their remained 4 Democrats, who were senior members to drive their point’s home. Summation was then given to the head of the Republican Party in the house who simply thanked Mueller for his service and coming to the Democrat led inquest. The final word was then given by Adam Schiff, the head of the Democrat led congress, and this was an impassioned speech, with a 5 minute limit, that stretched well past that time. It was theater, highly orchestrated by the democrats, rehearsed to a specific timetable, complete with opening statements, body of rehearsed, verifiable questions, and a summation by each presenter, complete with presentation pieces for both Mueller, and the audience. The Republicans put forth a blistering counterpoint, which could have been more effective, but was none the less excellent. The democrats failed because their premise was flawed. The opposition (republicans) opening all the hidden doors, discussed all the hidden talking points, asked the uncomfortable questions, and exposed all the skeletons in this house of cards called the Mueller Report. Never, for a second, did I see Mueller as a fool, or a doddering old man, simply a useful tool for the democrats, worse, he knew it, and could do nothing about it. He did the best he could, but could not be prepared for proper replies to the Republicans, because they wisely never allowed his second to be used or be deferred to…showing the country, that he just ran the thing, and probably never read the entire document, just rubber stamped it.

I came away thinking that the Dem questions ending with ‘righ?t’ or ‘correct?’ were the signal to answer ‘yes’ or ‘correct’. How many Dem questions were met with no answer?? I’d love to see the breakdown. It truly stretched the bounds of possibility that Mueller understood most Dem questions, but understood nearly no Repub questions. Rehearsed?? Obviously.

Mr. Mueller, do you have any final comments?

“Yes. First, everyone in the country knows my name is pronounced “Mule-err”. You idiots have been mispronouncing it as “muller” for the past two years”.

“Second, I’ve changed my phone number, cut off my internet and from now on you kids keep the hell off my lawn!”.

I heard more “testimony” from the democrat questioners than from Mueller.

Sorry, I don’t post often, here is a more easily read version of the text above...

Well, he couldn’t remember who appointed him, and he denied his longstanding relationship/friendship until the very end. I didn’t buy it at all. For a storied career, you’d think he’d have just a few key moments in long-term memory.

I bought it.

A man with his record, a man with his standing before the nation, a man with his lifelong reputation is not going to sabotage it. He didn't need to, he could simply have kept to his rote response: not my province, I will discuss that, I refer you to the report etc.

If he had anything to hide, he could have hidden it just as easily while showing the intelligence he possessed not long ago and leaving the stage with dignity.

Muller deserves our pity, Adam Schiff and Jerry Nadler deserve our contempt for selfishly exposing and humiliating one human being as the left historically has done along the way on its march to power.

I do believe this entirely.

Both actually...
The Democrats had Mueller cornered, he knew it, so he did what all executives would do when put in a corner, he sticks to his product and its contents, and does not deviate. They made it easy for him to do that, and still get THEIR message across.

The Republicans were not in on the fix, so they went after him, as we expected them to do. He countered by controlling the 5 minute time limit where he could, stalling, stretching, hemming and hawing as much as possible, it worked till the Republicans figured out the bob and weave, and stopped him wasting their time limit.
He did not answer their questions, but rather, deferred to the document without exception. I doubt he even read the whole thing.
