Illegals can not get real ID, least not legally. My initial take is this is actually a good and smart response by the feds to a bad California law. If California says you have to pass a background check to buy ammo, then there better not be illegals buying ammo. A little inconvenience for a few legals who dont yet have real ID, but a great move against CA lawlessness from Sacramento IMO.
Well, I’ve gotten an up vote and a down vote.
I had a neighbor complain that she had to jump through a surprising number of hoops to get a Real ID license conversion.
But, then, citizens now have to jump through hoops all of the time, while illegal aliens are pushed to the head of the line. Examples include: preference in housing, non-enforcement of driving violations, release from the judicial system, the ability to maintain multiple IDs for identity change if in trouble or to collect multiple EBTs.
It seems that if there’s anything that’s useful to a citizen, it becomes a right or necessity to be granted to illegals. That’s why I asked the question.
