You need to re-read the article. The Duke professor wasn’t the one undermining a Christian student’s faith; it was a general statement about what happens at many universities.

There will always be the 20% or so who are motivated, engaged, focused, and performing... but the remaining rabble just get more and more pathetic with each passing year.

Truer words were never typed. I'm just finishing up my 15th year in Los Angeles public schools. I'm going to try to hang on for 2 more and then, to heck with it. I'll be 55, have enough saved to retire, get out of LA... Just have to hang on for 2 more years. But yes. That top 20% are lovely. The other 80% should be working in fields and factories. They'd be happier, I'd be happier, we'd all be happier.
