I watched the first few minutes of the video and I think it accurately describes the faults with the movies (I haven’t seen it yet - was planning to see it at the theater but decided to wait until I can see it home).

Still, it’s on track to make a billion bucks in worldwide box office, just I predicted a while ago.

In this case the damage will come in the form of audiences who shun future releases from Marvel. Look at what happened to Star Wars once Disney poxxed it - $750 million dropoff from The Force Awakens to The Last Jedi.

After avengers endgame - that movie is going to be wildly successful regardless.

After that I think the franchise is dead.

7.1 IMDb score isn’t bad though and not indicative of a collapse. Not amazingly good either. Doubt it will hurt marvel much although next one of captain marvel would likely do less, at least in the US

Not likely. By the end of the month Disney will have completed it’s purchase of the Fox properties that will include the rights to the X-Men, all the other mutant characters, and The Fantastic Four. The Marvel Universe is a big place.

After this year there will probably be only two MCU movies a year for a while and, at that pace, people won’t get tired of them for a long, long time.

The problem is that there’s no energy in the new characters. Iron man, Captain America and to a lesser extent Thor drive the series and rumor has it iron man and Captain America are out after endgame. Captain Marvel supposedly will take the lead of the Avengers but Brie is as fun to watch as grass growing. I’d look to see Black Panther take over the Avengers actually but I doubt the liberals at Disney would let a black man lead. But the main problem is all the future heroes/proposed movies are just uninteresting and I doubt will be able to keep the box office moving (similar to Star Wars now) though a rebooted X men might be able to do it.

Captain Marvel (of Marvel, not Fawcett/DC), has been one of several females for decades. That was not at all due to current SJW activism.

The truest SJW propaganda was the heavy-handed subversion of the Skrulls from villainous and dangerous invaders (since The Fantastic Four #2, January 1962) to admirable and sympathetic refugees - hiding from the backward Terrans and evil Kree, and only wanting a home for themselves.

It was nauseating to one who knows the source material.

I haven’t seen captain marvel and won’t in theatre. But the main problem is there just isn’t many good movies coming out. Even so so blockbuster action flicks can do well with the right marketing. If there were good alternatives...
