I only heard about this today and started searching the internet. It seems that Mr. Sparks was walking down the street in Tucson in November 2018 before the election wearing a MAGA hat and carrying a sign "Jobs, not mobs."

A Legislative Assitant for the notorious Democratic Socialist Representative Raúl Grijalva named Daniel Zaroes Brito ran at Sparks from behind, gaining momentum before leaping and landing on his ankle in a flying kick, breaking it in three or four places. It is permanently damaged.

Then Brito allegedly ran a short distance away and ran back, gaining momentum again, leaping and landing another flying kick on the chest of the fallen Jonathan Sparks. According to Sparks the Legislative Assitant for Representative Raúl Grijalva Brito then began to pummel him while he lay somewhat stunned on the ground. Bystanders and police pulled Brito off and he was arrested.

In the audio, we hear that the prosecutors were considering a sweetheart deal for Brito. It is well known that Grijalva has a huge political machine here in Southern Arizona. There is a hearing tomorrow in Arizona Superior Court to Remand to Grand Jury for Review at 2:30 PM Arizona Time. Let's all take a moment tomorrow about that time to pray for justice and physical healing for Jonathan Sparks. Sparks is also trying to find a lawyer to help him - let's pray he finds one of those, too.

[Bystanders and police pulled Brito off and he was arrested. ]

Sounds like attempted murder. Especially his 2nd attack.

This is a glaring example of the Progressive Media bias.

How nice.

I was just thinking today about how grotesque it is that Grijalva is in charge of the Natural Resources committee that controls the national parks and monuments.

That’s like putting the Mexican government in charge of the natural wealth of the United States.

His family and his people had nothing to do with the creation and maintenance of the lands of the United States. He came from Mexico in the 1940s.

No shock at all that the people around him are murdering Mexicans. The guy and all his staff deserve to be de-citizenized and deported.

Read it and barf:

The results of the Remand to Grand Jury for Review:

U.S. Rep. Grijalva staffer misses court hearing after breaking Trump supporter’s ankle in unprovoked attack:

TUCSON — Judge Gus Aragon’s downtown Tucson courtroom was filled to capacity Monday for a hearing in the trial of Daniel Zaroes Brito, who was arrested on robbery charges Nov. 3 for attacking Jonathan Sparks for urging people to vote Republican in the midterm election.

Grand Jury testimony was provided to Judge Aragon regarding the attack of Jonathan Sparks on 4th Avenue in front of witnesses.

Both sides agreed that Sparks was attacked from behind as he wore a Make America Great Again hat and held a pro-Republican sign, Vote Jobs not Mobs – Vote Republican, in downtown Tucson.

The hat was grabbed from Sparks from behind and when he tried to retrieve it Sparks was thrown to the ground by his assailant, 42-year-old Daniel Zeroes Brito, a Legislative Assistant to U.S. Rep. Raul Grijalva, D-Tucson, in Washington, D.C.

Brito jumped onto Sparks breaking his ankle in several places, requiring hospitalization and surgery.

Brito, a Democrat, was heard shouting things about ‘Hitler’, ‘Nazi’ and ‘Trump’ at Sparks during the incident, making it clear he was attacking Sparks for his political beliefs.

Brito did not return from Maryland for his hearing today. He may be called to Skype instead of appearing at future court proceedings, his attorney said.

------------------------------------------------

It seems like Brito is getting off scot-free so far. He's not in jail for attempted murder; he's just living it up in Washington DC working for Raúl Grijalva.

I went to the April 29th hearing; Brito did not show up again, he lives near Washington DC. I also found out he had not been working for Raúl Grijalva at the time of the attack, or they backdated his records four months.

The big thing that happened was Brito's extremely high-powered lawyer withdrew because Daniel Brito could not afford him. Hey, most major corporations could not afford this guy!

The judge noted this lawyer would charge zero dollars for work already done; the leaving lawyer then requested the head of the Public Defender's Office Joel Feinman be assigned, who also happens to be another super high-powered lawyer who law professors at the same university.

Besides being the head of the Public Defender's Office Joel Feinman is also 2nd Vice Chair of the Pima County Democratic Party.

Democrats are still trying to fix the results of this horrendous MAGA hat attack.

This is a photo of Jonathan Sparks' ankle after the attack

I do have more information, looks like I made a mistake describing the initial attack. I did not see how the ankle could be broken that way without someone landing a heavy kick on it and I knew Sparks has been attacked from behind.

However, it appears that what happened was Brito ran up from behind and grabbed his hat and hair violently; causing Sparks' head to snap back. Sparks instinctively held on to his hat while Brito was maniacally pulling it. They fell to the ground and it seems Brito fell on Sparks' ankle. I guess that could do it as well. Everything else is the same, Brito ran off and ran back kicking the downed Sparks and beating on him until pulled off. Sparks' ankle will never be the same, he will never walk the same.

It’s bad enough that Grijalva is head of the environmental committe in the House. But unleashing thug scumbags on the public — disgusting; although this guy probably thought he’d be on the Clinton Foundation feedbag, but it looks like lawyer fees haven’t trickled down that far... she needs the dough for her cabal’s upcoming indictments.

Sparks' ankle will never be the same, he will never walk the same.

If he doesn't get satisfaction in corrupt one-party AZ courts, let's hope he can find a conservative activist law group that will sue for civil damages and hate crime in a federal court.
