QRD? What are some of the parallels? “Something Red, Something dead”?
Seems to me that weddings (used to be!) religious and cultural ceremonies FROM the local religion and culture (family most important in that group) ONTO the new family (for children, future money, etc.)
But in today’s millennium global-centric/Western-hating/Christian-hating/America-bashing youth, maybe they’ve been taught the “me, myself, and mine” culture of anything non-Christian/non-Jewish is always better.
Bet you will find no Muslims doing this. Their kids are raped, beaten, and enslaved into their common culture.
