Only one Constitutional amendment has ever been repealed, and that was the 18th (Prohibition) repealed by the 21st, in 1933. It was done using the second method, a Convention of the States.
Even wildly unpopular Prohibition had support in enough states to make ratification of repeal by 36 states impossible.
The 2nd Amendment is under attack in blue states with Red Flag laws that allow anyone who doesn’t like your looks to denounce you to the po-po as an armed threat to society. There has already been one death. Thousands of Red Flag warrants have been issued but there is no coverage of actual confiscations as yet.
State level gun grabbing does have the disadvantage of being watchable by states which want nothing of the sort. In my small Southern state, anyone who boasts of having a Bible in one hand and a Glock in the other, is regarded as a solid citizen.
Times are scarier now than during the Obama years. Isn’t that ironic?
