If someone is found innocent of murder because of corruption of the law by political will
should we stop trying to convict anyone else accused of murder?

Who are the “we” you write about?? I have no say in whether a this person is eligible. See my post above about who makes the eligibility decision.

I have no say in whether a this person is eligible.
If you choose not to exercise your First Amendment rights then that is your choice.
Claiming nothing is going to happen, though, is defeatism.
Retreat in defeat if you so choose, but don't dispirit those who are willing to fight on with your negativity.
That's just wrong on so many levels.
