They will make sure to get the overruling where the presiding justice (Sotomoyer, Kagen, Ginsberg, Brayer, Roberts) will decline to hear the case, the lower court ruling will stand.
Who cares how it is portrayed? It's the only option left.
Federal Court (at every level), and the legislative branch, will not hesitate to violate any law, or allow the violation of the law, to keep any such “emergency declaration” from being carried out by our elected POTUS.
While nothing travels in a perfectly strait line through history, in the bigger picture, the end goal is for the US to capitulate/seed its sovereignty to new anti-God, humanistic, and tyrannical, global socialist governance.
The actual near term goal and religiously militant push, to neutralize or eliminate all moral boundaries and those espouse them (which is also absolutely necessary to erase and betray belief or existence and adherence to national laws), to demonize patriotism, to erase national boundaries, and national sovereignty, **IS NOT simply to eliminate state and national control of government to create more freedom, **BUT TO replace national sovereignty and governance, with much stronger and necessarily totalitarian global governance!
If not enlightened and turned back, from the “taught” beliefs in no moral boundaries, (and the taught belief that anyone who does not agree with “no moral boundaries” is my enemy!), if the humanistic left wing tyrannical design is not fully exposed, our children and grandchildren will be forcibly made actual slaves, to the most tyrannical and brutal government in all of world history!
And by nature, such global governance cannot and will not be influenced by any individual thinking, and the ensuing democratic hope and effort!
When this happens, the wolves of the left, will have finally achieved their long standing goal of creating the worlds most totalitarian and humanistic government, in all of world history. They will necessarily control the resources of the world, in order to control resource redistribution. It will necessarily enforce its own security and viability through global individual compliance - through mass surveillance, or it risks being broken apart! It cannot allow the masses to own land, determine their future, or to have individual liberty, or these too would quickly break apart the sovereign global totalitarian government!
*Rhetorically though, in our modern day, how can the creation of such a necessarily totalitarian sovereign global government possibly take place without capitulation, and desovereignization, of the worlds single most powerful nation, the United States.
*And how could this ever happen to the United States without the neutralization of liberty loving, individually responsible, God loving, America loving society?
It could not happen, without the many subtle moral compromises made in recent generations, which have finally brought the near majority to believe no right or wrong exist, moral boundaries do not exist, and therefore the existence of the United States, and the moral principles which make possible the liberty of our society, are meaningless, worthless, or even the enemy of my “no moral boundaries” beliefs, desires, and view of life.
Our capitulation and desovereignization has also been greatly accelerated and facilitated (or made to happen), by the very intentional and strategically weaponized **LEFT WING immigration policy, of neutralizing the liberty loving, patriotic American Voter, with a rapidly growing population of people, who do not share our beliefs, do not know history, have no loyalty to the US (or more commonly, retain loyalty to country of origin, and socialist ideology), arrive in America knowing they can immediately receive everything for free (by the redistribution of wealth, from those who work, to they who do not), and can NOW vote without fear of getting in trouble for breaking our election laws. And all of this ruinous lawlessness being carried out, as strategic left wing strategy, to eliminate individual liberty, to weaken, break, and destroy our constitutional republic, to replace it with a massive sovereign government over all of society!
*THIS immigration fight, this border WALL fight, is a critical cornerstone of the anti-American left wing strategy of replacing America, with tyrannical humanistic government, and soon after, global socialist governance!
The left cannot let this happen!

The perception of Trump now is that of surrender.
The monetary hardships of gov’t workers is nothing compared to the damage and destruction that has occurred because of illegal immigration.
Three days, weeks, or months of allowing the gov’t to remain open will do nothing to change the situation.

I need to understand this “prior declaratory affirming judgement”. This is the second time I’ve seen it mentioned today here on FR. And that Obama did it so when our party took it to court (whatever “it” was) Obama said that legal opinion was divided.

What is taking place is a spiritual battle for the heart, soul, and existence of America as a sovereign, independent nation.
You are absolutely correct. His perception as a leader took a hit today. Remember, as a metaphor, the best QB ever can’t win if his receivers all run the wrong routes.
Most of us knew going in he was going to have a hard time “herding the cats”. But I really don’t think even he could have imagined the feckless GOP in pulling the rug out from under him as often as they have.
This was not his decision today. It was forced upon him as a Fait accompli by enough US Senators that would vote to over ride a veto.
I will vote for him again regardless the odds but reading the leaves at the bottom of my cup of tea I don’t have much hope.
