He gets trashed daily by the liberal rags, The Courier Journal and Lexington Herald Leader. The CJ has a jackass columnist (Joe Gerth) that has an axe to grind with Bevin.
Bevin has tried to reform a broken state employee pension system that was ruined by years of Democrats in Frankfort
He should be their Senator, but too many want to keep Bush League Republicans in the Senate. smh

Reminds me of the Trump voters in West Virginia who keep voting for Joe Manchin because he has a good line of crap pretending to be conservative and either don’t realize that a large majority in the senate has meaning or just doesn’t care.
Every commercial Manchin ran the last time emphasized he was a native son. Played football at WVU, he ever had Jerry West & a couple of other Mountaineer sport legends cut him a commercial! Morrissey is not a native son. (And please don’t point out Byrd & Rockefeller weren’t either, different era & political dynamic back then!) It also didn’t help that Morrissey was as exciting as a wet newspaper.
Chris Christie was once asked if he'd run for the U.S. Senate after his term as governor ended. He said he'd find the Senate so grating that he'd probably walk into the Potomac River and drown himself after one day on the job.
