Israel/gaza update
approximately 250 rockets have been fired so far. Of note these are rockets controlled by Iran supported Islamic Jihad terror group. They have placed Hamas at odds with the situation as Hamas is the semi-official controlling group for Gaza and IJ doesn’t want their oversight.
IDF tanks are reported firing at IJ positions through out Gaza. Question is will Israel drop the hammer and launch a ground campaign.
Israel/Gaza update
Night time in Israel/Gaza. Rockets continue to be fired from Gaza with heavy IAF bombing. Hamas reportedly has begun to fire their rockets in support of Palistian Islamic Jihad. Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade had a launch site hit with 4 reported dead - including a commander.
PIJ propaganda statement ‘Islamic Jihad says in the coming hours there will be a new “defeat” and “destruction” for Israel at 9 o’clock. “The timing will not be forgotten by Netanyahu”. No word yet just what they have planned or if they’ve pulled it off. It is currently 1027 in Israel. Don’t know if they meant in the morning.
Everything points to a significant continued escalation of fighting. It will be hard for Israel NOT to launch a ground attack at this rate.
Israel/gaza
After a short pause overnight, rocket attacks have started back up again, along with strong IAF airstrikes. Israeli govt warns citizens that rocket attacks could continue for many more days. This will increase pressure to launch a ground assault to shut the terrorists down.
Damage in Gaza was made worse by PIJ rockets that failed and struck Gaza. Photos show one apartment building in flames / smoke from one such failed launch. However, only about a dozen casualities have been reported in Gaza from all the activity.
Reports of IDF using smoke to screen movements along border. This suggests ground units getting into place for potential action. Monitoring.
Israel/Gaza
A ceasefire between Islamic jihad and Israel started a few hours ago and has already started to come apart. More rockets have been fired. This followed a day of protests against the ceasefire and complaints that Hamas didn’t join in the attacks.
Israel announced that the IAF has approval to strike IJ targets. Will have to see if the rocket launches escalate and IAF response.
Hamas has tried to say out of this exchange. News sources indicate that Israel’s counter attacks were focused strictly on IJ assets and no Hamas sites were hit. Assessments are that IJ was hammered pretty hard because Israeli intelligence was so good. IJ is a boil on Hama’s rear end, not willing to come under their leadership.
N Korea
Besides saying Biden needs to be beaten up, NK rejected US offers to resume talks. This implies that hardliners are still running the ship.
Venezuela
Out of the news cycle for a bit two items.
1. College students are protesting/rioting conditions in
Caracas engaged police.
2. Military HQ has sent out orders making senior commanders responsible for any movements of their units. Allegedly, this is in response to increasing discontent among elements of the military against the govt.
HK
Students have barricaded themselves in the university. this facility also hubs all internet traffic. Other protests have shutdown transportation hubs. Finally, protestors are using flaming arrows against police. A potential invasion by Chinese military units to quell protests is still an iffy scenario. One that could cause its already very weak economic situation to come apart and face the wrath of the world for another Tienmen square massacre.
What do you think Trump’s response will be if in Venezuela there is an invasion by Chinese military units to quell protests? Shut down trade? Send in troops?
Silly me... I meant Hong Kong...
Two fold.
Sanctions
Organizing global boycott.
We have no means to militarily intervening. However HK is the main glow plug for. Chinas economy, and their economy is in tough times. Boy its and economic sanctions could hammer China severely.
Israel/Gaza
Hard feelings between Islamic jihad and Hamas as IJ accuses them of not supporting their attacks. A Hamas leader was assaulted by IJ supporters when visiting survivors.
Overnight continued sporadic rocket fire resulted in counter strikes by IAF. However this time more targets were Hamas related. Hamas is between a rock and a hard place. Israel publicly holds them responsible for the attacks. Yet IJ refuses to submit to Hamas leadership and in fact is trying to replace Hamas.
Iran
Unrest is being reported through much of the country due to an increasing gasoline prices 50%. Gasoline is heavily subsidized and the removal of those subsidies was suppose to all the govt to free up money to help the poor. Citizens are rioting in many cities with some deaths reported.
This is a result of sanctions squeezing the Iranian economy. They are spending huge amounts of money supporting Hezbollah, war efforts in Syria, war efforts against Saudi Arabia, nuclear development etc With a cratered economy civil unrest has increased

Israel/Gaza
Tense truce holds between IJ and Israel. Significant post action analysis looking at:
1. Israel return to selective targeting terror leaders
2. Careful targeting of just IJ and avoiding Hamas
As I noted before, this may be a method to pit IJ against Hamas (who IJ now considers to be a traitor for not supporting it). Over half of the rockets launched landed in unoccupied area. Still looking for Iron Dome intercept numbers.
Hong Kong
Protests there are entering a potential lethal period. HK police are threating to use lethal force (bullets) to force protestors out of colleges. Currently most volatile spot is HK Polytechnic where overnight protestors countered a police effort to force them out by using Molotov cocktails and arrows.
Iran
As I noted previously, rioting and protests over the significant fuel price increases continue across the country. Iran has shut down virtually all of the internet to prevent coordination between protestors. Causalities are uncertain given the general blackout and control by the govt. These protests can be seen as a continuation of protests that started in 2017-201.
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has called the protestors “thugs” and indicators are that a crackdown is getting ready to start. Past protests were quelled by heavy police action and by the Basij, the all-volunteer force of Irans paramilitary Revolutionary Guard.
N Korea
US - SK have postponed a military exercise in hopes that NK would return to the negotiation table. I don’t expect Kim to do so as long as the hardliners in the party/military continue to hold sway over him. Economics may soon wear that down given the poor crops and poverty of the people while NK spends a lot on its military/nuclear ambitions.
Bolivia
Civil violence is on the threshold of civil war following the exile the president and assumption of power by the vice president. President supporters are blockading supplies to the areas of anti-president supporters.
The deposed president was a strong socialist and socialism had deeply damaged the economy and standard of living.
We are seeing civil unrest throughout much of S. America. Brazil, Argentina in addition to Venezuela.
Very true. I am sensing a trend. :)
Hong Kong
Fox is reporting that thousands of protestors are converging on HK Polytech U. were several hundred protestors have been encircled by police forces. This could devolve into a serious melee with police increasingly inclined to shoot protestors with lead bullet rather than tear gas.
If you look at video of this it’s clear these are just everyday HKers, not ‘triad mafia’ as some are trying to portray.
Thank You for the updates Godzilla.
I am following The Epoch Times on Twitter and they are covering it live.
While the circus resumes in DC the world continues to smoke.
Israel and surrounding.
Last night 4 rockets were fired into Israel from Syria. IDF reports they were fired by Iranian forces in Damascus. All 4 were intercepted by Iron Dome. There is confusion if Israel struck Damascus around the same time. Israel denies it. My guess is that the explosions noted in Damascus are likely errant rockets that didn’t make it to Israel and crashed there. This is not uncommon, happened a lot during the recent rocket barrage by IJ.
Speaking of IJ, there are rumors afoot that they may resume attacks as early as this Friday (weekly ‘day of return’ protests on the Gaza border). Some reports that in the coming weeks IJ will escalate matters. Hamas appears to be holding them at arms length so far. This may be due to the change in Israeli tactics of surgically taking out leadership. Hamas leaders don’t want an uninvited guest coming through their window at oh dark thirty.
The US disavowing that West Bank settlements do not violate international law is bound to stir up some Palestinian/Arab anger. will that translate into additional attacks? The west bank is ruled by the Palestinian authority which has so far been pretty quiet in comparison to Gaza (Hamas and IJ, et al) and Hezbollah.
Hong Kong
Siege at HK Polytechnic continues. Reports of thousands coming to their aid yesterday hasn’t really made much more news.
The HK supreme court (separate from China), struck down a ban on face masks. HK is supposed to have independence in law and the main land isn’t happy with that decision. It was similar attempt by the mainland to deport ‘criminals’ to the mainland and away from HK justice system that started the rioting 6 months ago.
Iran
Riots continue throughout the country sparked by increases in gasoline prices. Internet and new blackout is limiting information coming out of the country, but govt forces are reported to be using lethal methods to quell the disturbances, as indicated they would yesterday.
Iraq
Riots/protests against Iranian supported militias and intrusion/corruption into Iraq govt continues. The militias continue to shoot protestors, which have steeled their resolve to kick Iranian influence out even more.
NK
Kim still demands US/SK concessions before resuming talks. Threatens to resume military actions.
How's your food supply Fat Boi? No problems with African swine flu, I trust?

As requested, the excerpt from Dr. Hammond’s book:
From Dr. Peter Hammonds book: SLAVERY, TERRORISM & ISLAM
Islam is not a religion, nor is it a cult. In its fullest form, it is a complete, total, 100% system of life, Dr. Hammond notes in his book. Islam has religious, legal, political, economic, social, and military components. The religious component is a beard for all of the other components.
Their takeover of a country, what Dr. Hammond refers to as Islamization, begins when the population of Muslims reaches a critical mass, and they being to agitate for various privileges.
Open, free, democratic societies are particularly vulnerable. When politically correct, tolerant, and culturally diverse societies agree to Muslim demands for their religious privileges, some of the other components tend to creep in as well, he notes.

book cover
This is how it works, according to Dr. Hammond:
When the Muslim population remains under 2% in a country, they will be seen primarily as a peace-loving minority and not as a threat to other citizens. This is the current situation in:
United States Muslim 0.6%
Australia Muslim 1.5%
Canada Muslim 1.9%
China Muslim 1.8%
Italy Muslim 1.5%
Norway Muslim 1.8%
As the Muslim population reaches 2% to 5%, they begin to recruit from ethnic minorities and disaffected groups, within prisons and street gangs. This is happening in:
Denmark Muslim 2%
Germany Muslim 3.7%
United Kingdom Muslim 2.7%
Spain Muslim 4%
Thailand Muslim 4.6%
From 5% on, they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population, Dr. Hammond notes. For example, they will push for the introduction of halal (clean by Islamic standards) food and increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature such food on their shelves along with threats for failure to comply. This is happening in:
France Muslim 8%
Philippines 5%
Sweden Muslim 5%
Switzerland Muslim 4.3%
The Netherlands Muslim 5.5%
Trinidad & Tobago Muslim 5.8%
Soon they begin to apply pressure to allow Sharia law within their own communities (sometimes ghettos).
When Muslims approach 10% of the population, they tend to increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions, Dr. Hammond notes. In Paris, we are already seeing car-burnings. Any non-Muslim action offends Islam, and results in uprisings and threats, such as in Amsterdam, with opposition to Mohammed cartoons and films about Islam. These tensions are seen on a regular basis in:
Guyana Muslim 10%
Riots in Pakistan, 2013
Riots in Pakistan, 2013
India Muslim 13.4%
Israel Muslim 16%
Kenya Muslim 10%
Russia Muslim 15%
The violence increases when the Muslim population reaches 20%. After reaching 20%, nations can expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings, and the burnings of Christian churches and Jewish synagogues, such as in:
Ethiopia Muslim 32.8%
At 40%, nations experience widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks, and ongoing militia warfare, such as in:
Bosnia Muslim 40%
Chad Muslim 53.1%
Lebanon Muslim 59.7%
From 60%, persecution of non-believing infidels rises significantly, including sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia law as a weapon, and Jizya, a tax placed on infidels, such as in:
Albania Muslim 70%
Malaysia Muslim 60.4%
Qatar Muslim 77.5%
Sudan Muslim 70%
After 80%, expect daily intimidation and violent jihad, some State-run ethnic cleansing, and even some genocide, as these nations drive out infidels, and move toward a 100% Muslim society, which has been experienced to some degree in:
Bangladesh Muslim 83%
Egypt Muslim 90%
Gaza Muslim 98.7%
Indonesia Muslim 86.1%
Iran Muslim 98%
Iraq Muslim 97%
Jordan Muslim 92%
Morocco Muslim 98.7%
Pakistan Muslim 97%
Palestine Muslim 99%
Syria Muslim 90%
Tajikistan Muslim 90%
Turkey Muslim 99.8%
United Arab Emirates Muslim 96%
A 100% Muslim society will theoretically usher in their version of peace the peace of Dar-es-Salaam the Islamic House of Peace. Here theres supposed to be peace, because everybody is a Muslim, the Madrassas are the only schools, and the Koran is the only word, such as in:
Afghanistan Muslim 100%
Saudi Arabia Muslim 100%
Somalia Muslim 100%
Yemen Muslim 100%
Dr. Hammond observes this Islamic ideal is seldom realized. Unfortunately, peace is never achieved, as in these 100% states the most radical Muslims intimidate and spew hatred, and satisfy their blood lust by killing less radical Muslims, for a variety of reasons.
