The black protestors (for some other protest) were yelling “ni**er”. They were yelling it at a black boy in the group.
Yes, I know.
But the self-hatred our schools and mass media are brainwashing our children with makes it possible for them to believe that it was the boys, in the absence of evidence - never mind, “why shouldn’t they say it? They hear it on the radio all the time”.
Certainly you can argue “freedom of speech”, but if that speech runs afoul of libel/slander laws, then there is still an actionable offense that can be litigated and/or prosecuted (especially if it involves serious threats to a person’s well-being, which much of this does).
I have three kids... 1 out of 3 is my consolation. My other two probably buy into this. I know my youngest does... so I feel your pain. And agree... this story is incredibly important.
A dad called into rush show. The school totally supportive of boys.
Bttt.

I hope that it is “certain” rather than “possible.” The press reports, some of them, anyway, should subject the networks to the lawsuits for libel. They knew the falsity of their reports and the victims are NOT public figures.
Wonderful. Sue their asses off. Make it hurt.
“Naturally their defense will be ‘First Amendment’.”
I don’t know if the Richard Jewell issue is a comparison since he was being “attacked” by law enforcement. Still, this exposure of the teenagers could carry through when applying for college, future jobs, etc. — even though they’ve been “cleared”. It’ll still stick in the minds of employers and college admitting personnel.
They weren’t this weekend.

In a joint statement on Saturday, the Roman Catholic Diocese of Covington and Covington Catholic High School apologized to Phillips. Officials said they are investigating and will take “appropriate action, up to and including expulsion.”
“We extend our deepest apologies to Mr. Phillips,” the statement read. “This behaviour is opposed to the Church’s teachings on the dignity and respect of the human person.”
I am a successful homeschooler parent. A single parent. So I will not accept any excuse any “conservative” parent posts here on this topic.
Get your kids out of those schools. How much more damage do we have to suffer before we get it through our thick skulls.
There are no good public schools. Pull your kids out. Stop abusing your kids in public school.
National Review too?
Interesting. The dad’s name was Dan. Said his son and 2 nephews at Covington, one of whom is a teacher and all were at the march.
You must not read FR anymore either.
I would tend to believe the caller to Rush over a passing reference in the article.
The caller was much closer to the people in the school.
It wasn’t a passing reference. The school put that out, publically.
They are backtracking now. But not before they defamed their own kids.
If you are wondering why people are rushing to apologize/delete their inflammatory tweets, here’s the reason.

From their own website.

As I posted to Balding_Eagle.
They did not stand tall and firm in the face of BS. They rushed to defame their own students, and in the end, themselves.
The Parents of the Students were supportive in spite of what the idiotic School Administration has said.
I don’t know if the School Administration has apologized and reversed their prior statements yet, but they had better get with the program.
