Poor people dont start civil wars. They can be tools for others, but they dont start them.
And all civil wars are started by an activist minority.
Its the same scenario over and over - start violence, provoke a reaction, wave the bloody shirt, radicalize more people, do something else, provoke worse reactions, until you get a real war, a real revolution.
But so far, there has never been a revolution when the poorest were the most likely to be obese. And it’s not just the poorest. The average woman now weighs what the average man weighed in 1960, 160lbs or so. And everyone is more passively entertained than ever before.
That scenario of revolution has never happened with these things before. It could, but it is hard for me to imagine.
