I used to be skeptical over reports that America had a ruling class, until they proved it to me themselves. If the election of Donald Trump did absolutely nothing else it served the country a tremendous favor by illuminating this. Hanson does not cite the criminal collusion that resulted in the enrichment of the Clintons in the Uranium One scandal, which likely would have turned his article into a multi-volume book, but it was blatant, shameless, and precisely the sort of thing that sent a cabinet officer to prison less than a century ago and branded the Harding administration forever with the label of criminality. They were choirboys compared to the Clintons.
