Luka Doncic is spoiling Mavericks fans

The older we all get and the older Dirk Nowitzki gets, the harder it sometimes is to remember how truly great he was.

There will always be a group of basketball nuts that will remember the specific greatness of Dirk, but we’re slowly creeping into the territory where a lot of fans, younger specifically, don’t really know much of Dirk except that 1. he used to be really good and 2. he’s mostly the older goofy former All-Star that seems really nice and likes to clown on his oldness.

It’s only nature. “What have you done for me lately” is a human thing and we’re always predisposed to care more about things that are happening right now, in front of our faces, than things we saw a long time ago or only saw through second-hand accounts — stories, videos, etc.

Thanks to Luka, I am actually enjoying basketball again.

Be great if he stays here as long as Dirk has.

Luka could be the future of the NBA......along with Durant, etc.

LeBron is in the entertainment industry now.

Luka reminds me of Pistol Pete.

Does he live on the second floor?

If he is top notch, he will be bought by the Lakers/Celtics/Golden State/Knicks. Hard to keep a great player in Dallas.

That step-back 3 over Capella was just scary.

The Slovenes are taking over! First Melania Trump, now Luka Doncic.

Actually, Luka is only partly Slovene. His mother is evidently Slovene. He and his father were both born in Slovenia, but his father's family is originally from Serbia. The spelling of Doncic is not Slovenian--the mark like an accent over the final C is not used in the Slovenian alphabet.

The Step-Back Jumper has been Dirk's calling card for years. If Doncic masters that, he'll be unstoppable.
