I'm a huge fan of sardines as well. I don't understand why so many are averse to them. They are extremely tasty and like yourself, I don't need them with crackers or anything else. I just eat them straight out of the can with a fork. I pack a can or two whenever I travel to Manhattan for work, otherwise lunch there will cost $10-15.

My favorite brand is King Oscar and I prefer them packed in olive oil, especially the Mediterranean and Cracked Pepper styles.

Me too. I also like the ones with the sliced peppers canned inside. I've eaten many cans of Brunswick Canadian Cracked Peppers sardines. Very tasty!

But I haven’t bought any in years...
