I have a sporterized model in 8mm caliber model, brought home from WWII by my wife's grandfather. Has a shortened barrel, re-crowned barrel muzzle, sporting front ramp sight, drilled, tapped and scoped. I hunt white tailed deer with it every year. A tad heavy, but very accurate and action smooth.

Mine is in 95 + condition, probably used as a parade weapon.
All the numbers match and the wood is very good.
Yeah, it’s heavy.
