If we had any people in media worth a damn they would be asking the walkers who told them to walk hundreds of extra miles only to arrive at a border area that is narrow and easy to defend.
Much shorter to walk to Brownsville, walk up the Rio Grande and cross like thousands of others do every month. Many miles of lightly patrolled border down that way.
They won’t ask though as that would expose the entire operation as political, not refugees looking for asylum.

Obviously. Also, the Border Patrol was not using tear gas. No one was showing symptoms of exposure to tear gas. They must have been using plain smoke. I have been exposed to tear gas and it’s effects are obvious.
