CNN’s Chief White House Correspondent Jim Acosta’s press pass to access the White House was suspended “until further notice” Wednesday, hours after he engaged in a contentious back-and-forth with President Trump.
Press secretary Sarah Sanders confirmed Acosta’s tweet in a statement, claiming the suspension of his press credentials stemmed from his “placing his hands on a young woman just trying to do her job as a White House intern.” She called the behavior “absolutely unacceptable.”
“Contrary to CNN’s assertions, there is no greater demonstration of the President’s support for a free press than the event he held today. Only they would attack the President for not being supportive of a free press in the midst of him taking 68 questions from 35 different reporters over the course of an hour and a half — including several from the reporter in question,” Sanders said.

yeah I really wish the intern had freaked out a bit or at least made more of a scene when he chopped down on her arm.... she could have ended his POS career right then and there. As it is, he will probably skate, or at least CNN will support him to whatever extent they can.

Acosta’s press credential should have been revoked long ago. What reporter function does he fulfill? None. What “news” does the public get out of his antics? Again, none. The only reason Acosta has been allowed to stay there this long is that he suited Trump’s purpose as a convenient example of the unhinged, biased press.
What CNN should do is say that as long as Jim is suspended...they won’t cover the White House or speak of Trump for that period.
This could be a win/win for the country! ;^)
What if we never had to hear of Acosta or CNN again?
Acosta’s wrist pushed down forcefully on the top of her forearm. What a scumbag.
Suspended for a CNN reporter means what exactly? Is he allowed to wait outside the room?
He could have told the reporters “Well, Jim won’t give up the mike so you can ask questions, so this press conference is done”. Then, walk out.
