So.....

The expeditionary invasion of Afghanistan was a diversion? How was it, then, that when OBL WAS finally tracked down, it was in a country neighboring to Afghanistan?

As long as American forces were in Afghanistan, and also in Iraq, why was the pincer movement never made against Iran? It seemed strategically a very good position, in which bombers fueled and loaded in Iraq could be sent over Iran, make an effective bombing run, then land, refuel and reload, to drop ANOTHER bomb run on the back haul.

In it to win it, or get the hell out. Instead, the advantage was just frittered away, with piecemeal withdrawals from both Iraq and Afghanistan, not exactly “getting the hell out”. Had to stop and do some “nation-building”.

That worked so well.

Invading Iran was never an option. Our military is not big enough to take on Iran. It’s the size of Texas and full of mountains.

The Cent Com force would need to be about five times larger.

And would be JUST for Iran.

Let’s face it, our leaders have generally been criminals. That’s what has to happen to avoid WWIII. And we go along with it all, waving our flags.
