On October 10, 2018 I walked just over 30,000 steps or 15.6 miles according to my Samsung Health app. The next morning after a very deep sleep I felt great. No soreness in my legs. Only a very slight stiffness. Not only is this a good way to help lose weight but it most definitely does lower the blood pressure.
For some reason the video isn’t available.
I know what you mean and APPLAUSE!
You know what ‘they’ say about New Year’s Resolutions? The ‘experts’ who say not to bother, that no one keeps them? Well for 2017, I made a resolution to bike ride every day and to do 5,000 miles. Since then, and to date, I have missed ONE DAY when on a trip and did 7,000 miles in 2017 and am at 6,500 for this year!
Health results - OH YEAH! 80 pounds of fat GONE! Resting pulse at 50, BP is 120/78, BMI is 29% and cholesterol is at 56.
KEEP GOING PJ, you’ll love yourself!
Fantastic! Congratulations!!
Awesome results!
Excellent!! (The video isn’t active. So I can’t comment on that.) But so great to hear!!! Congratulations!
Can’t run your link but it might be on my end. Congrats on your decision to get fit. 15.6, thats awesome. Also, soreness doesn’t usually set in until 2 days after, however continuing to exercise usually means no soreness eventually, At least thats been my experience. Along with exercise goes diet....I don’t mean going on a diet but I like to call it modifying WHAT you eat not just how much. I put down the salt shaker and stay away from sugar, that makde a big difference. Read the labels on food, it’ll open your eyes to what your putting in yor body. GOOD LUCK!
Dont see the video. Please try linking it again.
Awesome!
Question, what fitness tracker device are you using? I had a FitBit brand and the battery life was garbage.
Back when I had two good knees and was in marathon training I used to run a hilly fifteen mile route as my long workout, once a week most weeks. Five workouts a week, or four and a race, a day of rest after the long one and after a race over 5K. At the time I was tending bar, and I suspect that being on my feet at work helped in recovery from the workouts, not sitting around and getting stiff.
It got me thorough Boston in under three hours, and a 1:20:02 personal best for the half marathon. But now I get tired DRIVING my old route!
Getting old is tough, but the alternative is much less attractive. God’s been better to me than I deserve.
Oops! I accidentally had it set on "Private." It should be okay now to watch.
It’s okay now. I accidentally had it set on “private.” Try again.
I just keep my Samsung Galaxy S7 in my pocket (except while using it to record video) and the Samsung Health app measured my steps as well as mileage, calories burned, etc..
I’ve been doing about 4 miles a day, a mix of walking, jogging, and sprinting up the inclines. Usually takes me about an hour to complete, and it has made a big difference already.
The fault was on my end but it has been fixed so you can watch. I also included a clip of my blood pressure machine taking its reading after it was all over.
That is GREAT PJ.
When I lose a few more pounds I will get back into skin diving and spearfishing again.
The video worked for me. It may be the browser you are using. I am using Google Chrome
I had it on “Private” before by accident but it is now “Public” so all can watch it.
I use runkeeper but I walk outside 3 to 5 mi. Today I walked to the beach, barefoot on the beach for 2 and 4 total miles.. At 80 I walk twice as slow as I used to run when I was 40. I walk or bike over an hour.
The Air Force got me started.
