Meghan McCain said, “The optics are important. I agree that the ceremony aspect I would have pulled immediately. I actually — had I been emotionally capable of being on the show at the time this happened the second Kavanaugh had that accusation I would have pulled him and put up Amy Coney Barrett. I didn’t understand why we let the circus continue. But believe whatever polls we want, but it has galvanized a lot of people. I do think for conservative women we are being asked questions that are very hard to answer in a lot of different ways, but I would have left out — I agree that optically it was tone-deaf.”

YOu can see where this idiocy starts.

Bottom line, young lady, is that finally we have someone in the oval office who defends the people he puts in office. Jusdge Kavanaugh was a Bush judge. He was part of the good ole boys group, that included your Dad.

So, at the first sign of friction and push back you drop him? That’s what any other president would do.

Plus, you can see that President Trump thought this thru very carefully, and said that this was a departure of what is usual and customary, and he went on to apologize.

I am so sick of these people and actually sick of the posts...Can’t believe I’ responding to it.

Trump is teaching the Republicans to hold the line and stand up for the people of this nation who elected them. No need to be violent and hate filled like the Dems, just honest and steadfastly assertive. The GOP needs to learn to ask the correct questions of the aggressive Dems. Quite a few senators did a very good job flipping questions back at the paid protestors that they couldn’t answer.

For most women, the expectation is that if they make an accusation, the accusation is true and immediate action will be taken.

The confirmation hearings and vote was a shock to many women.

This make cost us in a few weeks.

But we have a rule of law. Ford made an accusation, and could not prove it. There was not enough evidence to charge. The system is set up that you have to prove guilt, not innocence. For far to long the system was trending to “If a women makes an accusation then it is true”.

I actually am very surprised that Kavanugh kept going. I am shocked that Senator Collins supported him. While perhaps good for our nation (the next hearing will make this last one look like Mr Roger’s Neighborhood), it is probably bad for the GOP.
