I find exercise to be incredibly BORING. That's why I like to do what I call No Exercise Exercises as a fun way to lose weight. And one of my favorite No Exercise Exercises is bowling. On Sunday mornings at my neighborhood bowling alley they offer the off-peak hours discount of only $5 for three hours of bowling.
If you don't think of bowling as an exercise it is probably because you are bowling against others so you get breaks between rolling the balls. Try bowling by yourself as I did for three hours and you will see how strenuous it actually is. The first two times I tried to bowl I only made it to two hours. However, today I was able to go the full three hours by taking breaks of at least five minutes every hour and other breaks between the games as necessary.
Yes, I did get quite a workout but since I enjoyed myself, it did NOT feel like exercise although that is exactly what it was. In future episodes I will show you the No Walk Walk: How you can walk 20,000 or more steps per day without feeling like you are exercising or even walking.
Please subscribe if you are interested in the methods I have developed to lose weight. I weighed 320 pounds on May 27 and since then my weight has dropped 54 pounds to 266 as of September 28. My immediate goal is to drop a total of 100 pounds so I can go on a Steve Kane Radio Show Caribbean Cruise next year. My wife wouldn't allow me to go on the cruise this year because she told me I weighed too much (she was right) and was afraid all that good shipboard food could kill me.
As far as other exercises, I will show you how to walk in complete comfort while enjoying yourself. After a few more pounds of loss I will start skin diving again and take everyone along via my GoPro camera.
Good luck to you. You have a good clear voice for this kind of narrative video. It may help to have the camera or computer positioned higher next time. That would allow you to look at the viewer at an eye level, vs looking down on them.
Looking down at your speaker may appear to indicate fatigue and exhaustion. Actually, I would be tired too. I have mucho weight to lose. If it’s not practical to position your camera or computer higher, then don’t worry about it. You’re actively working on your plan.
All else is secondary aesthetics.
Very gradually work your day to OMAD, One Meal A Day.
For the process to be comfortable (sort of) you should give it a month, gradually working your Dunch to a 5 pm fat-heavy dinner.
And check out fermenting your own cheap, custom Kombucha.
The fat will fly off.
I have lost 75 pounds, so far.
James Jones sounded uninterested until I pointed out he could probably earn $8 per hour as a research subject and use the money he earns to buy...more video games.
Wanna weigh less?
Eat less.
Worked for me...
Dunching worked great for me for 2 consecutive days but on the third day it leveled off. I will be talking about his in my next video.
It is my inner hope that all FReepers find what dietarily works to make them truly healthy. For my wife and I, it is a lower-carb diet crossed with a bit of paleo. Weve lost weight and two months after starting, our term life insurance blood and urine tests coupled with our weight gave us both preferred plus top health status for discounts.
That really showed us the benefit of such a diet and of how quickly every tiny number can be made better than perfect.
Yeah, I like low carb because it allows me to eat lots of meat. I don't do any specific diet. I just try to keep my carbs down below about 30 grams per day. When I get more physically active (such as skin diving) I think I can up to about 50 grams of carbs per day.
I lost 15 lbs in the last mnth on one meal a day. If I start to get really hungry about noon Ill have 3 baby carrots or a couple of crackers. Eating whatever I want for dinner about 5 every day.
I'm sure the beer and pizza detracted a bit from the fitness aspect of bowling. But I remember waking up the next morning sore all over. Especially in the legs.
I would sometimes play billiards and darts as well. Not as physically demanding but you needed skills.
Wow! You’re right! That’s a great idea! I might even try bowling with the other hand to work both sides of the body! [Watch out, bystanders!]
That would mean 27 pounds had to go.
'cept he's had a couple really, really good weeks and his average is now 224.
So much for motivation.
So as to maintain suspense until my next weigh-in I will remain purposely vague on exactly how much weight I am losing. Otherwise astute viewers could use the result from my latest weigh-in, then put it against my public statements on how much I have lost, and come close to figuring out what my weight will probably be at my next weigh-in. For that reason I will remain purposely vague on that topic so you have to watch the weigh-ins to see the actual weight.
I can tell you that the weight I gained from the Brazilian meat buffet I had on the afternoon after my Sept. 28 weigh-in and my Sept. 30 buffet buffet brunch including all-you-can eat lox (I skipped the bagels because of no Carb Cravings due to Crave Stop) have already been quickly lost. And more specific than that I won't get until the November 9 weigh-in.
p.s. When I reach my goal of 100 pounds total lost (46 pounds to go as of the 9/28 weigh-in) I will have an important and shocking message for all the peoples of the world (No, it won't be a warning to not land on the moon Europa).
