Hoisted by their own boofing petard, Democrats woke up this morning to the realization that they lost their slim hope of capturing the Senate, and their chances of winning the House are dimming.
One month ago, Atlantic monthly ran a story, "Kavanaugh Has a Strong Chance of Confirmation — and of Becoming an Election Rallying Cry."
A month later, this is true but the rally is for him, not against him.
The piece by Emma Green, "On the left, Kavanaugh has become a symbol of anti-Trump resistance. Activist groups recently completed a 'Rise Up for Roe Tour,' a campaign of 'badass feminists' who believe 'Trump’s Supreme Court nominee poses the greatest threat to abortion rights in America since Roe was decided,' according to one press release. If he is confirmed, Kavanaugh will be an even better Trump-era bogeyman, a character from the fictional world of Gilead in 'The Handmaid’s Tale,' which activists see as the future to come."

Was reading Cook report this morning wherein they said there would be a red wave in the Senate and a blue wave in the house.
Nonsense. The ONE thing and only thing that pointed to a dem wave was the enthusiasm gap. When that closed, so did the hopes of a wave. And now the Dems are re-gifting is by talking about impeaching Kavanaugh if they re-capture the House.

We won the Supreme Court. If we keep the House and Senate in a few weeks, the democrats will be completely demoralized. Re-elect President Trump two years from now, and the democrat party will break up.

Democrat candidates in ‘safe’ democrat districts will win by a somewhat larger margin than they would otherwise. Contested districts will most likely break Republican. The senate is out of reach and the Republicans will likely pickup seats. I for one will be glad when the Flake’s, Murkowski’s and Collins’ can no longer hold us hostage on close votes. If they want to be Democrats, let them switch if they still hold their seats.
