“Since When’ Is a Woman’s ‘Truth’ Not ‘Enough?’”

“When’ Is a Woman’s ‘Truth’ Not ‘Enough?’” I will tell when it is not enough. I was a retail pharmacist and had an employee that was most excellent in her job. She ran my pharmacy for me with great efficiency. She was a thief. Oddly I thought it was another employee that was stealing and did everything I could to clear the name of the thief.

The proof of theft was evident when I did a linear regression comparing sales receipts of cash and checks verses the different employees on various days they were on the cash register. I could not believe what I discovered and did everything I could to disprove what was evident. The more I tried it became self evident she was a damn thief.

She was fired and then the accusations against me began of sexual impropriety. Of course these accusations became public knowledge. I insisted on a polygraph which I passed. She refused to take a polygraph. My boss called me and told me all was good after the polygraph. I asked him if we would try and get the authorities to prosecute the thief. He said no and I told him if you do not prosecute thieves you will have more thieves and gave him my two weeks notice.

Oddly my boss made a totally rational business decision. I did not like it but understood it.

Even more oddly what sealed the deal to my boss about my innocence is when I told him of dispensing prescriptions to this evil bitch for herpes. I broke Hippa regs but what the hell. If it went to court those records could have been used.
