It’s hard to think of the Kavanaugh accusations as anything above sixth grade level dialogue. I think it shows how our society now naturally thinks on a far lower behavioral level than in previous generations.

George Washington upon winning the war he commanded was approached by his officers , whom , angered by the Continental Congress ,wanted to make him King. It was this particular 'old white guy ' who turned it down and gently admonished his men for making such an offer. That is one of the reasons why ,to this very day, no other President has received 100 ℅ of the electoral college vote.
