Why wouldnt she call the friend and get her story straight before sending the letter?
I wouldn’t be surprised if she did. Once her lawyer got involved she may have backed out.
Because it wasnt her that wrote the letter or did the contacting
It was someone who thought Leyland was a boy
Well, good question.
Assuming everyone tells the truth, there should theoretically be no reason to coordinate stories or anything like that. Assuming too that everything happened as miss swimsuit sunglasses said.
Why is it, that the only ohoto of Ford on any news report on any channel, is the one with her in sunglasses? There are no other photos of her in existence?
She may have assumed her friend would lie for her but I think all the attention, all the women coming out for Kavanaugh gave her pause. Telling a little white lie is one thing, destroying a good man is quite another.
Good question.
Taking that a step further, why didn't she call her old friend to at least confirm the friend remembered the 36 year old incident before writing the letter to avoid looking like a political vindictive fool?
“Why wouldnt she call the friend and get her story straight before sending the letter?”
My question, which I have not seen asked, is say this accounts for all the folks at the party, whose bloody house were they at? One would assume one of the partyers lived there and that it wasn’t a random home they came across.
If it was a party with 50 kids, I can see not knowing who was throwing the party maybe, but 4-5 kids, someone had to set things up.
I was thinking about this last night, and her friend would’ve remembered if Ford suddenly disappeared during a party. She definitely would’ve called Ford the next day to find out why she had left the party.
Why wouldnt she call the friend and get her story straight before sending the letter?.....The Marxists figured the Repubs would throw Brett under the bus and walk away.....They forgot about Trump.
She may not have thought things would go this far. She may have thought the charge would spur investigations and lead to other allegations so she wouldn't have to testify herself.
Possibly, somewhere in the back of her consciousness she recognized the possibility that her friend would deny being at the get-together and that would discredit her charges, so rather than risk it, she didn't bother contacting Leland. She wouldn't be the first person who didn't check things out because she unconsciously feared they wouldn't match her memory.
Perhaps the story had become so real to her that she assumed her friend would back her up. Or perhaps it was so vague and shadowy that she wasn't sure just who was there, just as she wasn't sure when and where it happened or how she got to the house and back. In some sense, maybe not consciously, she may have been "making it up as she goes along."
Why would she, having just “escaped”, not come down and tell her good friend what had just happened? If it was as bad as she claims, why doi none of the others noticed something amiss and ask her if she was OK?
