What follows is a screen shot of a tweet that appeared on twitter. If you dont understand twitter language dont embarrass yourself by mocking me for writing like a high school kid.
Better to be thought a fool and remain silent than to speak up and remove all doubt.
Actually some of these @Nate_Cohn NYTimes/Sienna polls are just silly. Only 154 likely or registered voters same date TX-32 SEP 19 Siena College 154 RV Allred Dem 52% Sessions GOP 41% Allred+11 U.S. HouseTX-32 SEP 19 Siena 154 LV Allred Dem 45% Sessions GOP 49 Sessions +4
One hundred fifty four likely voters?
Warning!! If you enjoy being scared by fake polls like a trip to a Six Flags Fun House dont read any further.
Save yourself the trouble of thinking and just go right to the comment section to tell tell me how wrong I am.
First some background. This article shows how Survey Monkey, hiding behind the name Axios, used a trick question to give its subscribers what they wanted to hear.
When Axios (aka Survey Monkey) released its findings of a survey about Americas feelings toward abortion it lied both with a fake trick question and the bogus results it got.
The survey was conducted on September 5, 6 and 7,2018.
Survey Monkey must hide behind Axios because during the 2016 election cycle Survey Monkey/Axios (SM/A) was exposed by Wikileaks published Emails that showed SM/A was taking orders from NBC like a short order cook in a diner.
The Email exchanges proved SM/A served up any results NBC wanted.
SM/A was used to adjust Hillary Clintons lead over Donald Trump from an uncomfortable 3 points to an Ah thats more like it 12 points, inside of a week.
Suffice it to say, Survey Monkey/Axios is a fake poll operation.
Now to the survey results SM/A cooked up earlier this month about the national feeling toward abortion.
SM/A spoke to 2,033 adults in the United States and asked, In 1973, the Roe v. Wade decision established a womans constitutional right to an abortion, at least in the first three months of pregnancy. Would you like to see the Supreme Court completely overturn its Roe v. Wade decision?
The answer choices were, No, leave decision as is, or Yes, overturn and make abortion illegal.
As it pertained to Roe V Wade the question was poorly written.
Heres why:
First, Roe and the companion case Doe v. Bolton (decided on the same day) legalized abortion in every trimester of pregnancy.
Second, if the Court overrules Roe, it simply goes back to the states to decide, like it was prior to 1973.
From the article I am using, this is the explanation of why the published results of this "survey" was merely another sneaky lie from the left.
https://www.liveaction.org/news/poll-misleads-roe-v-wade-results/
The way a poll phrases a question (or in this case, an answer option) can impact the results substantially, especially on abortion.
In 2013, Pew Research Center found that a majority of young adults (57%) between the ages of 18 and 29 dont even know what Roe v. Wade is.
Axios improperly worded question led those polled to believe abortion would automatically become illegal if Roe was overturned, rather than being left up to states to make their own laws.
This resulted in 71 percent of respondents claiming that they didnt want Roe overturned. Naturally, abortion supporters were elated.
But but but!
Even the far leftist UK Daily Mail was suspicious of the results.
It noted, Gallups polling has consistently found a near-even split among self-described pro-life and pro-choice Americans, with each camp claiming about 48 per cent of voters in May .
"In July Dannenfelsers group [SBA List] commissioned the independent McLaughlin & Associates firm to poll 1,000 likely voters. That survey found 58 per cent wanted their state legislatures to determine the future of abortion policy not the Supreme Court.
After release of the Axios "poll", Daily Mail writer David Martosko tweeted, The question was worded poorly.
The Brits knew the Axios results were cooked and so do we; but how many on our side read the fake headline, reviewed the fake numbers and did not recognize the fake way the questions was written?
Why would so many on our side so quickly become useful idiots and do the lefts bidding by making doom and gloom comments that are exactly what the left wants to see?
Recognizing we are winning will not decrease conservative turnout; but it can help us press our advantage and make it grow.
Mel Sharples wouldn’t be allowed to respond probably.
That’s one of Schmucky Todd’s better pictures.
Another more realistic and down to earth way of looking at this is to declare that all polls are garbage.

The media shops around find a source that says what they want to say.
They will quote a lying Dem politician (without attributing it as a quote) in a headline so they can run the pull quote they want casual browsers to read.
“They” aren’t saying it, the source they shopped for said it. They just didn’t dispute it...
And this is so for all of their news coverage, not just abortion
Zog’s magic sauce
Roe v Wade will not be overturned. Eventually, we will amend the Constitution to define when a life begins. THAT will limit the use of abortion to cases where the life of the mother is at risk and THAT will be determined by the courts. Science should establish that life begins shortly after conception and legal abortions will no longer require surgery which will put the abortion industry out of business. THAT is what the Left is afraid of.
I believe the entirety of the authors point is misguided. He makes the incorrect assumption that polls are even truly taken by most of these polling organizations. Whether or not the wording is confusing or poorly written, IF the actual poll takes place (whether by phone or in person), the person recording the answers controls the documentation.
This is assuming, once again, that the poll did actually take place. Otherwise the polling company can put down whatever they wish to fulfill their masters desired outcome.
Article is a waste of words. Any poll I disagree with is wrong, period.
1) How many test polls were run until the actual poll was taken?
2) How many times were the polling question and choices reworded during the test polls?
3) What were the demographics (liberal, independent, conservative).
4) What was the split between men and women respondents?
5) Where were the majority of respondents contacted (blue vs red states)?
6) Were any adjustments made to compensate for a perceived (false) bias that there are more democrats than republicans in this country? This is where they get that “mainstream” crap.
7) Who commissioned the poll and what guidelines were given (i.e. what is the target result).
