This farrago should already be over. All it takes is for Judge Kavenaugh’s wife to declare that there is a vast political conspiracy against her husband, and viola! Nobody is qualified to criticize a husband’s conduct except his wife, and Judge Kavenaugh must be confirmed!

For extra credit, Mrs. Kavenaugh can ask, “What difference, at this point, does it make?” - and she will then be qualified to be nominated for president of the United States.

Once again Joy is perfectly wrong. Kavanaugh has lived a remarkable life of personal achievement and strong, lasting relationships with many women of all ages. In all that time there has never been any instance of the kind of behavior that he has been accused of by this one woman. It is much more probable that he didn’t do what he was accused of than that he did. Her extraordinary charges require extraordinary supporting evidence to outweigh the testimony of his entire life. Her story is based on repressed memory therapy which has largely been discredited by leading analysts and researchers. This is a ridiculous miscarriage of justice and must be defeated or the rule of law and the protection of the constitution is rendered moot.
