Why nibble at the fringes? Take down the SPLC.
Why limit it to a week? I don’t use it. Never have. Don’t ever intend to. Find some other way to stay in touch or watch cat videos.
I don’t really do “boycotts”. But that being said, I was so fed up with the nonsense at Facebook that three weeks ago I disabled my FaceBook phone app. The result is that I have not gone there since. I guess it’s an “out of sight, out of mind” sort of thing.
Boycott? Pffft! How about criminal RICO and Anti-Trust charges?

I went elk hunting for three weeks last December. During that time, I wasn’t on facebook. I realized I didn’t miss it. I have not been back since, and don’t plan on ever going back.
While some of the businesses I patronize advertise and have pages on facebook, I can access them other ways.
I would like to delete my account, but am not sure how to go about it. Or, should I leave it dormant?

Social media sites or selling information on user data sites?
I have stopped FB.
Why spend a lot time singing to a choir there, just because you know their names and can sometimes see their faces, when you can sing to a choir here without wild algorhythms swirling and ready to snatch what you write?
Yes, some postings get censored here, but far, far from the systematic censorship that has been imposed at FB.
Facebook has 2.2 BILLION users. A week long boycott of a thousand, ten thousand, even a hundred thousand won’t even be noticed.
99% of them aren't concerned with politics. They may be influenced in some way by Facebook political manipulation of news feeds but most don't see it or use it as a political tool.
A Conservative Republican boycotts would amount to less than a drop in the ocean.
The problem is Facebook is 'boycotting' Conservatives and Republicans.
Had an account years ago but only to use for FR. I haven’t used it in forever.
I have less than 60 friends & never had more than 65. Im not on to get in touch with old classmates. I found early on they were only nosey as I left town 3 days after HS graduation. Many of them are rabid liberals. No thanks. In fact FB use to tell me all the time I needed more friends & limited the posts Id see - I think to try & make me add more people, then theyd show me all the posts Id usually see. I finally told them I had no need to have 100s of friends so knock it off. They did.
Ive gone the rounds with FB for various posts. I imagine some day theyll ban me if I dont leave first. Its like Im pushing the envelope & daring them.
I quit farcebook several months ago when they really started sticking it to conservatives.
I call it FAKEBOOK! Did you know that Twitter, Disqus, and Facebook ALL CENSOR certain conservative firearm and abortion speech? See this: It is worth noting that both Disqus and Fakebook CENSOR any mention of a website, www.CodeIsFreeSpeech.com that provides FREE downloads of 3D-printable firearm blueprints. And, since Facebook/Disqus logins are so prevalent for posting commentary across the Internet, they are very effectively suppressing this Forbidden Knowledge almost EVERYWHERE. Please go to the website, download some or all 10 of the free blueprints, and then, repost it to your friends and across the Internet, to the extent you can. Strike a BLOW against Fakebook and judicial CENSORSHIP! Support TWO amendments at once, the First and the Second!
Boycott for one week? How about leaving completely?
Better yet, do as I did and delete your entire Facebook account.
As a repeat offender sentenced to Facebook Jail for not towing the leftist party line, I'd like to come up with an effective method of striking back. I don't think a boycott will work because Facebook is worldwide. The best legal method (a DDOS attack would be effective, but illegal) might be to contact some DC blowhard. There are a lot of politicians who would like nothing more than to get their face on the tube and the publicity.
