The media is going nuts trying to use Rudy Giuliani’s “truth isn’t truth” remark on Meet the Press yesterday out of context. They hope to create a meme out of it to bludgeon Trump going forward. But noted liberal law Professor Alan Dershowitz says (3:12 mark of the video) Giuliani was absolutely right in what he said!
Dershowitz explained that what Rudy meant is that a Perjury trap is when the prosecutor has a witness to testify to something as “the truth,” that would contradict the actual truthful testimony of someone being targeted. False testimony put forward as truth isn’t truth. That is the dilemma Trump faces. Mueller has anti-Trump witnesses ready to contradict Trump no matter what he says. . . .

Trump’s enemies are so used to winning without a fight because of pusillanimous Republicans that they simply cannot handle an actual fight.

Rudy Guiliani is spot on! The left has rejected the existence of objective truth and universal truth for years. (Anyone interested in the philisophical aspects of this can look up the term “postmodernism”. D.A. Carson’s “Gagging of God” provides a good description of how this viewpoint has permeated academia and our culture since the early 1990’s.)
Either objective or universal truth would imply a “truth giver”; i.e., God, which post modernists reject. Postmodernism is the philisophical foundation for multiculturalism. For if there is no universal truth, then we are in no position to judge other cultures. This follows since all truth, is relative to the individual, or at most to a particular culture.
Since truth is either “your” version of truth or “my” version of truth, then positing that Mueller can decide what truth is, is totally appropriate. This is exactly what got Scooter Libby in hot water. Libby recalled an event one way and a reporter recalled it quite differently. The prosecutor contended that the reporter’s recollection constituted “truth” and trundled Libby off to jail.
In this case, you have the MSM mocking Guiliani by appealing to the Modern view of truth. The Moderns, and most of society, believes in the existence of truth as an objective reality. Most people today toggle between the two viewpoints based on the argument at hand. It’s really rich for the leftist MSM to mock Guiliani along these lines.
Much of the ‘public’ has forgotten the old parable about the FIVE WISE MEN who examine an ELEPHANT.
Actually, maybe ‘has forgotten’ is the wrong term. It should be ‘was never taught’.
I’ll give you maybe half of that. He’s also become fairly media-savvy over this Trump investigation and will not under any conditions miss a chance to get his face on TV.

You know Mueller can take truth and bend it like a petzel to mean something else.
Paper forms are easier to destroy and re-do if they wanted different testimony from a witness.
Digital files and recordings would prevent this chicanery from occurring.
I was not convinced...the man remains a rabid pro-abortion (which isn't explicitly in the Constitution) and anti- 2nd Amendment (which IS explicitly in the Constitution) lawyer.
Then we get this from last month - Alan Dershowitz says, "I prefer to be around Democrats who hate me than Republicans who love me." (49:03)
If I'm asked to pick him or Paul Ryan or Jeb! or Willard as a barbecue guest, I am hard pressed to chose any of these guys.
Ask Scooter Libby. Found guilty based upon the false, coached, testimony of a journalist.
The reporter later recanted her story, in part because one of Mueller’s BFF’s had committed misconduct, and admitted Scooter Libby had been truthful all along. Of course, that didn’t get him back his years in prison because of a “true lie.”
