McRaven is No Admiral of Mine
Canada Free Press ^ | 08/20/18 | Jim O'Neill

Posted on 08/20/2018 10:01:05 AM PDT by Sean_Anthony

Oh, and President Trump--I would waste no time in granting McRaven's desire to have his security clearance revoked, he deserves the "honor."

Former CIA director John Brennan, whose security clearance you revoked on Wednesday, is one of the finest public servants I have ever known. Few Americans have done more to protect this country than John. He is a man of unparalleled integrity, whose honesty and character have never been in question, except by those who don’t know him.

Therefore, I would consider it an honor if you would revoke my security clearance as well, so I can add my name to the list of men and women who have spoken up against your presidency.—William McRaven “Revoke my security clearance, too, Mr. President”

It is traditional to often address former military officers, especially those of high rank, by their former grade—colonel, general, commander, admiral, etc. But I will make an exception with William McRaven, who is not worthy of his former title of admiral in my book.

Interesting, is it not, that those of us who actually did the data gathering, analysis, and planning for those upper level security compartments lost our clearances when our positions terminated. Hate to insult a flag level officer, but compared to the ones I worked for, this guy is an idiot.

Donald Trump. Please honor this man’s request. Also pull clearance on anyone who thinks the same way as Brennan.
Thank you.

Yep. Had TS/SCI and 17 years in USAF Special Ops and don’t have a clearance anymore since I don’t currently have a job that needs it.

There should be a simple and standard procedure to relinquish one’s security clearance if no longer needed or desired. Here, problem solved!

Somebody like McRaben should NEVER have been allowed to lead our men, in battle or otherwise. Somebody as conflicted and partisan as he is and was, is not worthy of any title of importance in the military or outside the military.

He is no better than Brennan, who should never have been leading the CIA and should never have been associated with the CIA or any of our government agencies.

Clapper is just as bad, but, after seeing how Brennan is suffering a lot of backlash for being so political and becoming an attack dog for the democrats, he (Clapper) is pretending that he’s not in the same boat as Brennan. Both are traitors to the country. And, so were most of the members of the Obama cabinet.

Thanks for your service, Shark. I spent a good bit of my 30 years in the Title 50 world. My TS/SCI expired 3 months before I retired. Now I’m getting it back because a client needs legal counsel with high-level clearance. People don’t seem to understand that nobody has the right to a clearance. The bar an applicant has to clear is that it is “clearly in the national interest” for him/her to have one.

Colonel, USAF (ret)

The senior officer along with others are grandstanding. The vast majority of officers both General and Senior and enlisted Junior and senior have their clearances terminated when they leave service or their SSBI runs out after a period of time. This vast majority that I’m talking about end up doing things like construction jobs, Golf Course supervisors, running fishing piers, doing volunteer work around the community, working for the Red Cross, and a whole multitude of things that they have always dreamed of but do not need a clearance to fulfill.

Heck, the last thing I wanted to do was reenter the Cube Farm and go right back to work sitting on my butt day after day in a 10 x 10 cubicle shuffling paperwork. Maintaining a high level security clearance was going to just about guarantee that that was where I would have ended up. No thank you

It’s not that he is partisan, it’s first and foremost that he is utterly dumb. Someone who thinks Brennan, an avowed communist, could possibly be “a man of unparalleled integrity” is necessarily of subpar intelligence.

To think that such dumbass could be in the sitution of leading thousands of men in a war is mindbogglingly frightening.

He was an Obama appointed flag officer, career over country. Nearly everyone of those officers operated by that mantra. And Trump should have retired every 3 and 4 star officer when he assumed office to clean out that rat’s nest at the Pentagon, to get rid of the perfumed princes who have nearly destroyed our military.
