Gary Johnson Running For Senate

Posted on 08/16/2018 7:41:32 AM PDT by DIRTYSECRET

Vanity run. Too little too late. At least he'll give the 'junior' senator a run that could benefit us. Like too many ex-governors the Senate isn't good enough. Gotta go for the big one. Probably has too much time on his hands. Still it's a good development that can only help us. He's popular in NM. Should he win he'd be another Ron Paul, out for himself but consistently voting with the ACU. Should we support him. NM is deep blue-and screwed up.

Saw it in Newsmax. Announcement supposedly today. Perhaps he sees a red wave and can win on Trump’s coattails-not that he’ll thank him. Deep blue state. Could we STEAL this one?

Lot of N-words and F-words in this one, but still amusing regarding a voter’s encounter with the 2016 presidential ballot and not knowing about the Libertarian-Liberian candidate.

I lean libertarian on lots of issues, but Johnson is such a lightweight.

A chasm of sanity lies between Johnson’s tenure as governor of NM and the present time.

More info on this race...Heinrich(Democrat) is the worst lefty, horrible man- does not listen to anyone who opposes him on any issue. Will be rude to those he is supposed to represent if they are not in lock step with him on every issue. Total jerk...

Mick Rich is running as Republican...if anyone can tell me what they know about him other than officially I would be happy to hear it.

As to Johnson running as Libertarian:

No way, would I vote for this idiot.
Weak-kneed and out of touch. The
only thing he’ll accomplish is
robbing votes that would go to the
stronger conservative. Can’t help
but think, due to this somewhat late
announcement, that the Dems a paying
him off.

Come on! He’s won twice statewide. Everyone knows who he is. As for following NM politics the answer is no. I was a fan of Heather Wilson who was able to hold a blue seat for 10 years. The conservatives nominated the bald guy for senate. Mistake. Now she’s a deep state Air Force Secretary. She was the best we could do but got no support. Johnson had more than one senate opportunity. Shouda’ struck while the iron was hotter. Selfishness/narcissism.

He’s certainly no Pete Domenici
of the Senate world. Mr. Johnson
won twice because of his soft,
left leaning politics in a blue
state. When he was governor during
his second term, New Mexico was left
devastated by the loss of a few big
enterprises that left the state, due
to high taxes, lack of incentives, and
harsh regulations. Though, he did use
the veto pen quite often.
