Correction, Cook County and (IIRC) one other county I can never seem to remember the name of are the most Anti-Trump places. The rest of Illinois isn’t really.

Its why I actually hope for government bankruptcy.

IL, MA, CT, CA - and their progressive, thieving, corrupt governments will all go down the tubes first.

Exactly Illinois population is so concentrated in and around Chicago, that the rest of the state is overwhelmed by the lunacy

Folks in Chicago don’t tend to like New Yorkers, anyway.

As to the headline, I suspect the feeling is mutual and that POTUS holds no special sentiments for IL.

one of ?

once solid republican counties voted for Hillary.
Repub. Gov hates Pres. Trump....and was elsewhere when Pres. Trump visited Granite City Il. end of July.

Chicago Trump Tower is now being sued by the state of illinois for big bucks - because of a permit lapse - for water taken out of the chicago river and being returned 35 degrees higher. ( allowed under the lapsed permit)

The headlines from everywhere? "Trump Tower Operators Are Being Sued for Using Water From the Chicago River".

"Attorney General Lisa Madigan says the water is taken without a permit and without any regard to how its return may impact the river’s ecosystem."

Bee-u-ti-ful.

Creamy Bob threatens violence against the Trump campaign. The next Guber (Prickster) vows to make Ill-Annoy the epicenter of the “Resist Trump Movement”. The Barry Soetoro Lie-berry (Center for Progressive Anti-Trump Liberal Thought) is being built in Rahmabad, the crapitol city of Madiganistan. So, SURE, the state is anti-Trump. Duh!

The POTUS should wear that as a badge of honor as far as I’m concerned.

Trump isn’t well-liked here,

Of course not...it’s the home town of Odumbo, the bullshit artist failure. Worst POTUS in American history.

Aren’t these the same folks that shoot each other in the streets at a record pace? Good indication of a cro-magnon I.Q. And besides voting, they also breed. Scary, ain’t it?

The tribune and the teachers union are very strong in Illinois. And they are very very pro-government employee. They are taking this state down hard. Lots of people have lots of pensions, some two or three. And some, you would not expect to have a pension, only working a few years but getting two and three times the credit of a normal employee.

Illinois is also losing citizens faster than any other state. And its those citizens that are mostly pro-Trump. Like a sauce on the boil, it gets stronger the longer you leave it on the stove. As does the anti-Trump feeling grow stronger as people flee the state.

Remember Illinois is Chicago. A recent governor won the race by losing every county in Illinois except for Cook County where Chicago is located. So the state is still pretty Rino republican. But the city very democrat and its 45% black. Whoever gets that vote wins the state.

We might note the source of Hillary popular votes in the 2016 election and realize that "East and West Coast people" were the principal source of her support--and that support was from dense Liberal/Progresssive populations in cities on those "coasts and elsewhere."

Thomas Jefferson, the Author of our Declaration of Independence, made interesting observations on the effect of "cities" on the minds of their populations.

"I think our governments will remain virtuous for many centuries; as long as they are chiefly agricultural; and this will be as long as there shall be vacant lands in any part of America. When they get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, they will become corrupt as in Europe." - Thomas Jefferson

Illinois’ unemployment rate at the end of 2016: 6.4%
Illinois’ unemployment rate, June 2018: 4.3%

You’re welcome, filthy ingrates.
