Elvis, Elvis, let me be........
Keep that pelvis away from me............
Disagree...it uses the myth of Elvis (who was super duper outstanding) and JFK to deliver a solemn look at the way old and ill people behave and are viewed and treated. It incorporates some of the viewpoints Elvis and many of his fans had about him...adding a. black man who thinks he’s JFK and a funky mummy...lends a bizarre atmosphere to a very creative concept. Only detraction to me was the vulgarity...but that could be observed in semidemented old men. Bruce Campbell is excellent as Elvis or Sebastian Haff (depends on whether he is Elvis or not). Dont expect “Viva Las Vegas”.
Very funny....loved it. Thanks
Thanks
If it has Bruce Campbell in it it has to be at least watchable
Oh, don’t get me wrong...I absolutely love this movie. I have it on this very computer. Just not that big into Elvis. The ‘older’ Elvis fans I personally know cannot stand this film.
It is a classic to me.
The older set of Elvis fans I know never understood the movie. I know a guy who is a hardcore Presley fan (he looks like Elvis and has a kind of tribute booth at the local flea market) who hates even discussing the movie. I believe he feels insulted in some way...
“Most Elvis fans hate, I mean absolutely hate this movie:”
Elvis fan or not, it looks like a really stupid movie.
Accidentally drove through Stockton, CA this afternoon.
Drive by the Quick Stop Convenience store my owned and remembered Elvis died on August 16th.
My Mom called me from the store to tell me.
Man I cried and I didn’t even know the guy.
Cried again, because of memories of Mom.
“When we all get to Heaven,
What a day of rejoicing that will be...”
Bruce Campbell is really good in this. And Ossie Davis is hilarious. It has a cult following.
I’m am Elvis fan, Do a great impersonation and know some obscure crap about him.
In fact, the first time I was on a private was because of Elvis.
Yeah, I walked right on the “Lisa Marie “ one day, at that craptastic strip mall across from Graceland.
Pathetic joke of a place and extraordinarily cheesy.
But, I did get that private plane.
Years later I would fly on my friends actual private jets and when they would try make me feel special, I would dryly tell the story, so they would know I’ve been around, man...
Oh yeah, it was kewel.
I got off the jet and turned around and went back in, so I could say I’d been on a private jet twice.
Years later , a friend and I drove through Memphis.
Oh, she insisted on going to Graceland.
I told the horror of how cheesy it was and teased her mercilessly not to go.
Gotta say, we went and both laughed our azzez off.
Still, I got time store Elvis watch anyway and we laugh about Graceland to this day.
Wish we had gone to Beale Street but, maybe next year...
That she would enjoy, for some real American Jazz.
TCB E...
Stupid smart autocorrecting everything...
Don’t know either actor. But, at any rate, comedy-horror isn’t a favorite genre. Some exceptions, tho. e.g. “Young Frankenstein”, “Student Bodies”.
Cool beans
Bruce Campbell is best known as Sam Axe on the TV Show Burn Notice
If that helps
“If that helps”

Sorry, nope - I’m still clueless!
Commodore Elvis... The sailing Elvis..
