There is now the potential for some FBI internal review of the FBI agent, but the jury has spoken and now the civil litigation over this is on the way.
The Finicum family filed a suit naming Astarita and many others at federal, state and local level, plus there is another suit that is being worked on in name of two people who were passengers in Finicum's truck, Victoria Sharp and Ryan Payne.

Had Finicum not resisted arrest, none of this would have happened.

Same thing will happen to him that happened to Lon Horuchi.
Nothing.

With the lower standard in a civil case, *hopefully* there will be some level of justice, but the guilty won’t really be punished.
If only we had a real DOJ that would prosecute the shooters for violating Finicum’s civil rights...

I know this. The government lies through its teeth. Government has no accountability for its illegal acts including lying and perjury.
The average citizen, however, is subject to great and coercive penalties and punishment for lying/perjury.

Another deadly force rule is that when they are down, you had better instantly switch into rescuer and first air mode.
There were numerous cops surrounding him for 6 full minutes before anyone makes a move to check his condition.
Utterly shameful and more proof of murder.

I’ll bet that if the local or State police had been tasked with arresting Finicum it would have been done more intelligently. But the Feds have to overdo everything and deploy all their toys.

Big surprise. The beast protects its own. The FBI is a lawless entity, like most entities in DC.

The prosecutor didn’t want a conviction. It’s as simple as that.

He told "OregonLive" that without the lack of direct testimony from a witness or definitive physical evidence tying Astarita to the two shots, he could not convict Astarita I think this sentence is messed up.
