“Thus it is safe to say this pit bull will be “tracking missing persons” just like the average husband will be sewing curtains for the guest room after he mops and waxes the kitchen floor.”

Oh man, you just described me. I’m sad now.

Cool video. Amazing dogs.
But they need training and a job otherwise they go a bit nuts.

Yes, interestingly enough, I have seen this video, and the feats impress me, of course.

The pit bull dog has much the same agility, and even more strength.

What a pity it has been bred to kill instead.

Here is a 40- second video of a pit bull climbing a chain link fence.

two Pit Bulls and drive three others off of an attack on a two year old boy who was staying with his aunt when the dogs - her pets - attacked him and the aunt - the boy died in a hospital shortly after the rescue - there might be a clue there.....
= = =

But these weren’t Cop Pit Bulls!

Yes, the working principles are very similar. The mental image is very amusing.

Well it isn't in my nature to let these hate mongers come here and pollute FR like this without calling them on it every single time I see it until the mods feel like enough is enough.

I'm the dog's huckleberry for now. Please feel free to join me in denouncing these trash threads.

Parents would tell Ursula, “My child is (blah blah blah),” or “She won’t (blah blah blah),” and Ursula would say, “It will be fine,” and all the “difficult” children would end up like well-socialized puppies.

I have not checked recently. I do hope so. I doubt it.

I believe that this blogspot has or had something on the subject, but am not looking this evening.

My brother has had many k9 partners over 25 years. The first was an all black German Shepherd that was donated by Phidelco Seeing Eye Dogs. He was a beautiful dog that we ended up adopting after it flunked out of the academy. He was a great tracking dog but he wouldn't bite down and hold a person. He would bite and release multiple times and the state didn't want the liability. He was a great family dog. We just had to watch him around strangers when he was on the leash. I found that out when a friend came up behind me and leaned over me to grab a beer from the cooler. All I know is, within a split second the dog was growling and my friend's shirt was torn off his back. I learned my lesson in record time. He never tried to bite anyone ever again.

Very true. My large male malinois ran past my wife , clipped her knee and broke it. - an accident. The want to run at you so you just stop and they will fly past - just playing

Take heart, my friend. I am sure that your wife values you highly, and shows her appreciation frequently in an appropriate manner.

I admire this lady from your description of her.

It is perhaps too bad that more dog trainers do not open schools for parent training as well as owner training, is it not?

She was a dear. We had daughters the same age, who are now 20 or so, and she had an older daughter from her first marriage who would “mother’s help” for me sometimes. For example, her daughter would go with me to my dance class and rock my infant while I danced.

Animal training techniques can be of use to parents, but one doesn’t want to go overboard. A human child had more individual drive than a puppy ... although puppies go their own way, too, and they’re not all suited for police work.

Fascinating. A lesson well learned.

I have enjoyed the black GSDs I have met. Very beautiful and smart dogs, and one of them had a similar mannerism regarding strangers. He would however, come and ask for attention under the table, literally.

Pit Bulls are furry sharks with four legs. ALL owners of these killing machines are complete idiots. When these satanic bundles of mayhem do what they do, the owners should be criminally held responsible to a sentence up to second degree murder.
