You would get a ‘standing O’ if you had a foundation that would set up the ‘house’ with popcorn at intermission.
I used to get a ‘standing O’ when I entered a bar as a regular or stranger would do a quick check and set up the house ... wouldn’ pay for anything the rest of the night ...cheaper to hit the bar with 5 or 6 people in it then get ‘involved’ in rounds after no matter who walked in.
Of course you ‘had’ to give the bartender a decent tip to make sure he remembered to ASK EVERYONE if they were going to get a drink for the guy that set up the bar.
Nothing more ‘dangerous’ than a ‘devious drunk’ who figures.
