Russia, though a shadow of what it was militarily, is still a powerful, nuclear armed nation. It’s only good sense to maintain decent relations as much as possible.

The hue and cry now is that Trump is helping Putin by ending the “isolation” orchestrated against him over the annexation of Crimea. That is laughable.
Putin obviously thinks he has the better deal.
And he still has his military and his spies and his business endeavors making him millions.
Trump will, no doubt, get concessions from Putin, such as withdrawal of forces from Ukraine, which were probably placed their for just such a show. He will not give up Crimea; he can argue that if” might makes right” was right when Russia was forced to give up Crimea, then why is “might makes right” wrong today.
If the focus turned to whether the released information was true and accurate I wonder how fast the Dems would want to move on.
President was already aware of the indictments, so was the spectacle meant to intimidate Trump to not meet with Putin, or was it coordinated with Trump to assist in pressuring Putin?
Why are so many vocal politicians worried about him meeting with Putin alone? A lot of it is puzzling in a way.
And they swear, scouts honor, that their was no bias in the timing of the indictments. Because of course, they are never biased.
