Ryan Bundy comments on "Facebook" about legal opinion offered by Republican candidate for governor Adam Laxalt on background checks for firearms sales at shows 6/25/2018
Ryan Bundy acted as his own lawyer during the Oregon Standoff trial (where he and six others were found not guilty by the jury) and the Bunkerville Standoff trial where his persistent questioning of a government official led to disclosure of a surveillance camera and the judge's intervention to force out more evidence hidden by the prosecution. That process ended with a mistrial and dismissal of all charges by the judge.
Now Bundy seeks to become Nevada's next governor. His first TV ad cites the connection between Nevada Democrat Harry Reid and the efforts by the federal government to force his family out of the ranching business.
But noting that Republican officials at the state level failed to protect the Bundy Family from the federal assault on their family business Ryan Bundy is running to change the way government works in the "sovereign state of Nevada".
Its also worth noting here that the prosecutors in the Bunkerville case, led by Republican Steven Myhre and supported by the new US Attorney appointed by Republican Jeff Sessions, Dayle Elieson, are appealing dismissal of charges against the Bundy's and defendants in the Bunkerville case.
Earlier this month a Republican official in Nye County, Nevada endorsed Ryan Bundy for Governor.
Commissioner Donna Cox told a radio talk host she was supporting Bundy because Republican candidate Adam Laxalt refused to endorse the Republican candidate for state legislature in District 36.
That candidate is brother owner Dennis Hof who operates his business in a county where prostitution is legal.

He’s in it to win it and is raising money plus asking to borrow an RV so he can travel all over the state of Nevada to make his case.
The Bundys, when you listen to them, inspire us and Ryan is no exception.
The little people standing up against the big business and big government elites that dominate the Republican Party and the Democrat Party.
I’d rather see the Bundys upend the GOP than Bernie Sanders types upend the Democrats.
I hope he wins.
I like Laxalt and hope Bundy doesn’t cause enough people to give it to Stchlik, a freakshow union anti-gun Las Vegas thug.
I think this guy is a Mormon who stands for something unlike the Mormon who won for US Senate in Utah as the GOP nominee.
God Bless President Trump but I can’t agree with him on just voting Republican for everything like Romney in Utah.
Laxalt seems a little limp on 2A offering a legal opinion in favor of a background check on gun show sales as NV Attorney General.
He dresses up the pig by saying checks should be at state level, not federal but keeps open the notion that the Governor should ask the feds to get involved.
In addition Laxalt did not defend the Bundy’s when they came under federal attack and still doesn’t defend them or take their side.
Its no wonder Ryan Bundy is running for Governor. The Republicans are weak and moderate and go Romney-McCain on the hard issues.
I see Romney’s knife sticking in Trump’s back sometime in the future.
This will cost Laxalt the win in November.
There isn’t a third party movement in the world that hasn’t been demonized like that.
You have to vote for the fake Conservative or Progressive Republican or Democrat type party or the other “extreme” scary Uniparty will win.
The people in Italy saw through that this year voting to give the third party Five Star Movement and the outsider nationalist League party a majority.
Both parties decided to form a government with the League breaking from “Forza Italia”-the fake Conservative Republican type party to do it.

I doubt this hurts Laxalt. First, Bundy’s are admitted thieves, second, they have zero state support. I’d be surprised if Bundy gets more than a few dozen votes. And if there is a debate, he should rightfully be excluded.
Yes, Laxalt is a bit of a Never Trumper. Is my former neighbor. He’ll get my vote unless he pulls a Heller.
